I have been using most of the newly released mods for sh5. It has amazed me how stable this new engine is, as an example I saved my game mid-battle (attacking a convoy) and installed Capt helms lighting effects and at the same time installed the Ali Mods, smoke, moon etc. Started the game clicked continue campaign and low and behold it started with no problems whatsoever, as I said amazing. This incarnation of SH I believe is going to be totally awsome once the modders get to grips, I even read somewhere that they are starting to play with the goblin editor! We will soon have sailors rushing through the sub when crash diving.

I grant you it does seem stable, but needs to go to drydock for a major maintenance period.

I have had one CTD
Just outside the Kiel canal, I switched to external cam - and *poof* black screen with an error message and off you go to the desktop again:damn:
When I restarted the game I didn't encounter any more problems though.

But so far it seems more stable than SH4 yes:yeah:

Yes, mechanically, the game is stable, but still full of bugs. Let's hope more patches come to fix them before modders come along with unofficial patches.

I had several CTD's so do not say it's stable. It's a bag of bugs. It needs a miracle to get something decent from this junk.

Good remark! By the way: ultimate stability would be that it freezes your PC so you cannot even move your mouse.
