I believe this new arrival is taking a leap in terms of quality
I'm not much of a collector but I have a couple figurine(one a samurai and another a hot toys designated marksman)
But this one is pushing the edge of surrealism as far as the head sculpt is concerned
Unbelievable!
All the following pictures are taken from here

The fine detail in this is...well, beyond words really. :o
Wow, they need to make Herr Kaleu from Das Boot and they'd have at least one sale!

Never before has Ed Harris been in so tiny that it would make mine eyes sparkle and glitter with tears of joy.

I sent them an email asking if they had a U-boat commander, they don't but they are seriously considering it!:yep:

I love their samurai line. Their samurai line is most probably the best 1/6 scale samurai ever. All things metal are made from metal....and judging by the looks of it these samurais' armor and weapons are handcrafted :hmmm: . It made my 1/6 Hot toys looked pale in comparison. The only thing rather lacking is the head sculpt is not as good as Major Konig. Their samurai lines are a bit more pricey too but imo well worth the cost.

Well it looks worse in picture but it's actually quite impressive for a 1/6 figure in person. Note the mask and helmet are all made of metal. The blue rod on the lower arms(arm guards) are metal too. The plates are metal too as well as the war fan and the swords and what needs to be woven and knit are woven and knit
Im getting Major Konig for sure hope it arrives here not too long from now though I would estimate that I probably need to wait 6 months or so.
I would prefer the face to be the real Major Konig if there was the real Major Konig. As for Zaitsev it's not bad too maybe when I stumble upon a bucket of cash.
Does anyone know how much these things cost? I'm almost afraid to ask!:hmmm:

Major Konig and Zaitsev would cost slightly above a 100 bucks each. It's safe to assume US$120.00
The samurais would cost US$150.00 but I got one for US$120.00. Well I asked for a discount :DL
Edit: Well it's rather expensive but it's not exceedingly expensive. It's not like we're going to spend 300 bucks on it
If you really like it perhaps saving some money to get one that you really like could be worth the patience. No one is forcing us to buy the whole lot. If it's only one or two then why not? They are not toys but must be regarded as display item. Sure we could play with how to pose them but that's about it I guess. The really good ones make fabulous display. The samurai figure that I had looks more like an exotic oriental(Japanese) souvenir when displayed. That picture above doesn't do it justice.
120? Man, that's really not bad. I might consider investing into one of these, as soon as I get myself some shelf space... haven't got enough to display all my toys as it is!

Considering the quality we're getting yes it's not bad at all imo :D
I guess to many Americans and Europeans(or Canadians) such price tag is peanuts :O:

...Didn't Konig have blue eyes?
Anyway, the detail is awesome. I wish they'd do some Dr Who stuff. I recently ordered this:

Which is pretty good, but DID quality..I'd sell my grandmother for one!

That is quite reasonable, I have been corresponding with them and a U-boat commander is being discussed, I made a couple of suggestions, I'm hoping it's a goer!!:yeah:
Thanks for posting this thread Castout!!:salute:
If you've been in discussions, then tell them that they have another definite buyer as soon as they put out that U-boat commander. White cap, nice pair of binoculars and a Luger, maybe an optional oilskin coat - oh yeah

I honestly don't know if that's a good thing, or a bad thing. And I sure as hell ain't gonna google it. :O:
I know one thing, if they make a u-boot commander and don't model it on der Alte from Das Boot, I'll seriously have to consider writing them a strongly worded letter before I purchase it.

Well yeah but which one would you purchase first? Pre voyage or post voyage? :DL
For the rest of you guys just remember: They're not dolls, they're action figures! :D

Hmm... as much as I like the snazzy blue uniform pre-voyage, I'm gonna have to go with about two weeks into the voyage, when the scruffy is really starting to set in. And he's always wearing that awesome leather jacket that looks like it was pinched off some poor dead RAF pilot. And stomping around soaking wet and cursing the weather.
It's not der Alte...but it is Onkel Karl

Oh...and am I going mad, or has this particular figure taken a lot of facial structure from a certain Scottish secret agent?

Yeah, that's himself, no question.
I'd forgotten how good those are! Thanks for reviving the thread, Oberon.
If they do a kaleun, I too would like Der Alte, but barring that I wouldn't mind a real figure of Prien or Kretschmer..

Okay, this is weird. I was looking over their site, and they have models of real people and models of actors playing fictional characters, and sometimes real people.
But they could have done the real von Stauffenberg instead of T.C. Mapother IV playing him.:nope::dead: And no, I refuse to post the picture.
