Hi,

How do i get behind the canon or flackgun?

Sometimes my crew refuses to shoot at a target that is right
in front of me and then about 600 mtrs.

Same way you 'get behind' everything else. Walk up to it and click on it.

Note deckgun 'sight' view is an icon in the upper left corner.

Just hold the camera up to your dominant eye, check the f-stops and the exposure time (most newer models have an automatic light meter), and trigger the shutter.

Well I would love to try and finish off ships dead in the water with the deck gun, however my WO wont/cant get the crew to man the damn thing, same with the flak gun. Same with battle stations... (is this a morale issue)

Actually, none of my F keys work above F4... I hear them clicking but nothing happens?

Ive tried submerging and re-surfacing but depsite the WO ordering the crew to man the gun, nothing happens. I had to leave two ships sitting there last night because of this....:down:

I'm going to go the 1st simple route is that you looked at the ship with the binoculars, and pressed space to set them to engage the specified target?

That fixed it once or twice for me. The other way I've found that fixes it, is if you use the ladder to climb down and manually man the deck gun. At first nothing happens and you can't move it, but suddenly two crew men will appear and you can move the gun. After you jump off it and head back to the bridge it functions normally and fires with the crew. At least it does for me.

Here and there though I've had them refuse to leave the gun lol. Tooling around at periscope depth, went to exterior view to look at the hole I'd placed in a tanker and there was my deck gun crew happily manning the gun underwater lol.

I can't find the ladder to get down to the deck gun. On my old boat u 27 I could walk right up to the edge of the conning tower and click on the gun. My new boat u-69 the conning tower is different and I can't man it it's rather irrating I enjoy being a hands on kaluen. Also I believe the the f5 button is for when u have the perk for your gunner.

They will not man the gun if the morale is low. The morale is low everytime you load a saved game :doh: I dont care how many times you press F5 or how many times you speak to your WO.

To get down on deck look for the wood slats in the metal railing at the back of the sail. Look straight ahead at them and move foward kind of like the other ladders.
