View Full Version : Finishing Out the Mission?

So, I'm doing the "Coastal Waters" mission around England, and I've sunk 22 ships so far over the course of the last couple days, running up a total of 110000 tons sunk. 14 merchantmen, 8 warships. I'm having a grand time, but I'd really like to repair my sub at some point, since those frigates off the coast of England really like to chase after me when I make a run on their ports.

Anyway, I can't seem to end the mission. I'm sinking shipping in the area of the mission, I'm radioing in via the Captain's log, and they just tell me to stay out in the water and not to bother them for another couple hours. I'm starting to get suspicious as to what's going on back in HQ.

Anyway, any advice would be more than welcome.

Return to port, get repairs and torpedoes, new mission orders, and start a new patrol. :yep:

Well, I have returned to port, repeatedly. Hence how I've racked up 22 kills :P I've gone both back to the port in the Heligoland Bight, and Kiel. They won't let me click "End Mission" though :(

Was the same way with SH4 they change your base and neglect to mention it to you. At least its easier to see your home port now :haha:

Oh and "Sank 22 boats in one patrol" :har:

Really UBI what the hell were you thinking?

Wow, I feel like an idiot! You're correct in that my home port has changed to Wilhelmshaven. Those sneaky buggers must have been in hysterics when I showed up to Kiel trying to refit. Being typical navy, they said, "Not our job, go somewhere else." I swear, I could've been submerged without wanting to be, and they would've tried to send me somewhere else :P

Anyway, thanks for the advice. Now that I feel like I fool, I still have a full load of torpedoes to send into unwary merchants and the like, so let's see if I can bring my confirmed kills up to 25 or so before I finish out the mission ;)

Just be carefull so you dont waste to long time on a mission if you have reached its goal.
There is some more difficult missions where you have to sink 5 ships and also 1 carrier. Problem is , its a pain to find that carrier and it might require a few time consuming missions to do so.

I was never able to find it and lost 3 germany star points and failed the overall mission. I also enterd the norway campaign mission to late so i never found a single prey there even if i was in the time limit. And another 3 stars lost.
