How to I upgrade my sub?

Could someone please explain how to upgrade my sub,the Year is 1940 January,I believe new uboats were launched by then?I sunk 71000 tons and I have heard that your patrol behavior can lead to an upgrade.I ported and nothing happens.I don't think I got any awards either,how do I check?Could someone please reply?:salute:

This is like my fourth though!This is so strange,I don't understand.Of course Ubi made the game:rotfl2:.The total tonnage I have sunk from the first day I started my career and to the current one is 101,000.That was just one patrol that 71000.This is so weird.:nope:

Have you done any of the mssions. Like sink 50K tons off the English Coast, or how about the Sink 100,000 K one off the Southside ocean. Any of them yet/

Think I got My Type VII B after I finished the English Coast and anothr 50K or so in the 2nd partol. For total of about 110K.

Maybe they gave all the B boats to us.. And have no more for you.

It will be interesting if you get it around 100K then. That means its based off Tonnage.

See what happens with you so close you should get it after next patrol. If not then have no idea.
