There are enough negative threads around that I thought I'd waste some space with something positive. :-)

I really like the manual TDC. I had a heck of a time on SH3 hitting with torps but I'm quite successful in SH5. Even though the controls may not be fully realistic, they are more intuitive and it seems to me as they more accurately reflect a sim of what the captain would do during targetting. That is, the captain doesn't need to turn every knob himself, instead he calls out the information and a crew member inputs it into the TDC.

If people are having trouble with it and they need a tutorial video, I could try to make one. Anyway, thumbs up on this one from me.

I don`t agree with you.

I used the olc/ magui and hitted 99%.

I really do miss these gui`s in sh5.

I agree, IMO the manual targetting interface in SH5 is one of the few improvements over previous versions. Works very well for me so far.

Still using the auto , Q? can you use Manual targetting if you have not Ticked the box in Game Settings ?

Do you only get the Ship Recon Manual up if your using Manual Targetting ? if you can use it with Auto what button brings it up ?

Completly agreed, I like the basic system now much better myself, too. My only problems come with the graphics deisgn choices, but I suppose the whole GUI can be reworked to better fit a WW2 U-boat theme.

Can someone make a manual targeting tutorial for SH5?:)
I was good with the SH3 manual aiming but no clue where to even start in SH5,I'm just using auto right now and I'm doing well but would like to get into manual.:salute:

Already been a few people suggesting they will do it... But if they don't show up, I will put one up.

Only thing is that I have to play around with it and see how it works since I don't use Manual. But I might start looking into it and see.
