How do I get back on my sub? in campaign

Hi Guys, completed the first mission and am in the Pen at Kiel very buggy convo with a guy that was not there! and then my sub comes into the pen in the background!!! managed somehow to complete this but I have now refit and ended the patrol and all I can do is walk round the pen. There are no gang planks to get back on board and no one I can interact with to get missions etc. can someone please help? I am an experianced SH player but this is confusing the hell out of me. Any help appreciated even if to make me look stupid by missing the obvious.

Hold down Left Alt and see if anyone in the sub pen gets the golden outline. You can talk to them.

This happened to me too when I tried to dock manually my sub hit the wall and I was suddenly standing inside the pen , Click the anchor symbol if visible and select "dock at Kiel" You may or may not then get a breifing from the Captain. I tried to talk to others after this and got no response and what I did was to save the game return to the menu and than re-enter the campaign and all was well.

You need to talk to the guy in the captains outfit ,hes along the wall at the right side of the pier,he will give you orders,after there is a engineer looking guy to the left of him talk to him about upgrades and torpedo load,when done wander over to the ship cursor over the conning tower a hand appears then click,you'll get on board.

did anyone find out how to get back on the sub?? i cant seem to find any iron crosses either on the map to select the next mission after the briefing?!??? HELP!!!
