View Full Version : Do any mods add a real campaign? Must have mods?
The botched abortion that is silent hunter 5 is having me come back to silent hunter 4. I never tried any mods.
I love the game, but it gets repetitive without any sort of structured campaign, so I have two questions:
1. Are there any mods which add any sort of context to your endless wandering or structured campaign?
2. Any must have mods you recommend? I am not really interested in realism mods, I always played on fairly low realism settings. Mods which you think are vital to improve gameplay.
If you're not a 'realism' guy like myself, then TMO should suite you just fine. :)
I am not saying that TMO isn't realistic, but it bends the realism boundaries a little, whereas RFB stays strictly within them. A good example are crush depths.

Run Silent Run Deep for fleet campaign. TMO has it's own campaign rework or you can put TMO and runs silent run deep together. Head over to the SH4 mod section.
If you like uboats. Operation Munson or OM. Complete rewrite of campaign.

If you go for TMO then RSRD over it, I was made aware this requires the u-boat add-on which is the 1.5 update. Also they each have patches that need to be installed in order.
Geeze we all go through alot of frackin work to play this game. ;)
I downloaded RSRDC_SH15. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1416 How do I install this thing?
It has two folders inside, data and support, just copy them into the existing directory structure?
