Just reenabled the 'saves synchronisation' after turning it off yesterday... lost all progress made after turning it off. :damn:
So, word of advise: if you turned it off, leave it off. ;)
* sorry if this was already clear, was new to me. Thought it was worth mentioning.

So it sync'd saves by replacing your new save with the old save on their servers?
if it did.... then they need to change that ASAP.

How do you turn it off anyway? I tried by clicking on the little wheel thingy when ubi's DRM starts up, but it says its syncing to the server anyway whenever i start up the damn game.

Ive been noticing that, I started a new career with the same name after i figured out something in the game. Pretty soon the auto saves for my new guy were being replaced with the older game over and over.
So at least dont name your guy the same.

It says it's doing so, but it's not. Should only take a second or 2 when 'disabled', while if it indeed has some syncing to do it takes a little longer.
Partly my fault, maybe; toggled the option on the launcher, and it said it needed to be restarted. Didn't do that, launched the game and played. Closed the game, relaunched, launcher started syncing and everything I did in the previous session was gone.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Like I said above, I may have inadvertently found a bug, but it should never, under any circumstances, replace local saves with serverside ones.
Never.
