View Full Version : TDC & Depth in SH5

I've played a few missions now. Started on realistic difficulty, gave my friend motion sickness and shuttled back a bit with each successive difficulty.

My question is this - I've played around with the auto TDC (AIC) system to sink ships. That works fine. But when that's not on due to difficulty level, it seems I have to just faff about with rulers on the map to calculate where to fire my torpedo.

And then - let me get this straight - I have to select the angle to fire by glaring through the periscope and clicking at the right place?

And we have no direct control of the TDC to feed data into?

And no way to check the depth under our keel, while I'm at it?

Once you've identified the ship, you get a indicator of the ships hull on the depth thingy, it's easy to miss, just noticed it today, but just check the torpedo depth setting and you'll see it.

Wait - are we talking about the same thing? I mean depth to the bottom from our keel, not the run-depth of the torpedo.

No more fine tunning of sh3 sh4 fire solutions ?ŋ?

the excessive use of FPS perspective with limited interaction with the crew could be a game killer, because you canīt give precisse orders to the station.
