DRM and 56K

As a good captain, I went to Amazon thru subsim and was quite disappointed with the reviews of the game at amazon. Appears as always with UBI, it was rushed out.
Those of us on 56K, yes we are out there, are totally at the mercy of our connections to play that game. There is no way I can maintain an "all day" connection on a phoneline.
I will have to wait on a "Gold" release in the future to cover the necessary patches and hopefully do away with the DRM.:down:
I also run Win 7.
I will get the game later as I hope it evolves beyond what is presented now.

Just finished up grading SHIV to 1.4 from the patch page. Noticed the first one for V is there, perhaps the patch you seek will be there one fine day. Like you I bought the game through a link here to help support subsim. The truth however, is the purchase is the bottom line for Ubisoft, a number on a speadsheet so to say. Your troubles are of little concern to them now.
