Whatever you do do not change your password for Uplay...
I did so and went to log into SH5 to play entered the new password and the register product interface comes up. So I put in my keycode and guess what?
"That key code is already in use" :shifty:
So I'm locked out of my game till it gets rectified.
Does Uplay do anything interesting. I read over what it did on ubisoft and it looked like a waste of time, maybe I missed something.

THere's like 4 things apparently "for sale" with UPay points.
Some new sub skins, then either some new missions or just a new boat maybe? Upay crashed on me when I was trying to figure it out. It's all totally unadvertised and doesn't appear to be linked to the main website where the "real games" are listed, so no idea...
Someone bought the new skins but wasn't able to use them in game.

Have you tried switching back to the old password?
you may have to contact Ubi, but I doubt it would be a problem.
World of Warcraft used a similar system. Players who wanted to trade or sell accounts would just switch passwords and user info, but keep the same account. My son, who should know better, often got caught that way and dear old Dad had to call up customer service to prove he was playing a legally bought copy, which usually involved nothing more than answering a few questions.

This really blows.
I actually left work early to play and now this.
I re installed the game and still the same issue.
I sent an email to ubi support and I should expect an answer in 24 hours :damn:

If this was the same guy from the official forums, the problem was that he was logging in with a similar but different account name. :)

A second account I dident even know I had... The names were so similar you had to really look to see the difference.
It's all resolved now.
Just posted this in case of future interest.
Yes I'm an idiot.
