My partol is done. I sank 50K tons off the British coast. I did my regular partol. But yet I still can't dock at Kiel. The place that I took off from. I can only refit that is all.
I tried everything. Now I'm parked in the sub pen, but yet I still cannot end my patrol. WTF is going on?
50k tons in a single patrol?

You have to complete both patrols in that first mission if thats what you're talking about. "Total Germany" I think it is.
It gives you 2 missions to do by June 10th 1940 I believe. I don't think you can dock at Kiel until both are complete....you can only refit.

yeah that was one of the campaign objectives. I could not dock when I used up my first supplies. So I figured I had to do that objective. Well 4 Refits later objective complete. And I still can't freaking dock.
This game has way to many issues.
Somebody must be docking because they are saying they are on 5th partol. I'm still on my first. I just have refitted 5 times. LOL. And my crew moral is about in the tanker because we been out sea for awhile now.
errrrr.

You got to be kidding me. I never chose the 2nd patrol in the sub pen only the Coastal one. That other patrol is 100K sunk. Better not have to do that too.
This game is fail if it is. My crew moral is down to 1 circle. Trying to fit in another 100K in 1 partol is total bull ****.
100k tons? thats like 14 liberty ships or 25 costal merchants in one go.
Or are they trying to make us raid scapa flow?

They did say that even though you only fight part of the war, the action will be much more than it was before! :)

I had a similar problem with stock SH3. Try docking a Wilhelmshaven, I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes the game moved your end port without telling you.

That would not surprise me at all to be honest. Since you really have no idea whats going on in the game 90% of the time. Since everything is presented so poorly.
Finding simple info like where I'm suppose to dock should be you know... Like available. I will try I guess... But at this point I will be visiting like 40 ports at this rate.
Man.... SHV so far is pretty disappointing to me.
Dont the sub get radio traffic from bdu regarding orders and whatnot?

Alright so that is what happens. They change you sub base. I looked all over the map and found a little sub symbol that was over brenan. So I went there and finally was able to dock.
I had no idea or no info other then that little symbol on the nav map that gave me any clue were I was suppose to go.
Mission over now. In the sub pens. WOW.

I think if you fail as a captain the game sends you to the Polish border as a guard. :O:
Yeah, the game presentation is very poor. You have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out what you're supposed to do.

Thanks neal. At least you didn't close this thread. I posted the same question on the UBI forums and they canned my question.
This is the last game I will ever by from UBI.. Sorry but if your going to delete post on the Official Forums with a legit question. Then I'm done.
Looks like it will be up to the modders to actually fix this game. UBI too busy doing damage control to actually care.

Malkuth so you were able to dock (not a Kiel) before completing the 2nd mission? Just want to make sure this is what you did.

After you complete your coastal patrol, send a status report. I betcha it says return to base, and then you're dock-able.
I noticed there are 'upgrades' for the 'radio-guy' that have to do with being able to send out status reports at longer and longer ranges, as well as 'safe transmissions' whatever that means. I'm assuming that the status report now has an actual usage in the game.

Yes sir, My new base is at Brenan. The only reason I new this was when I looked I saw a SUB symbol over the Brenan base. So I went there and I was able to end my mission finally.
Thank god too. Think the cook was sharpening his knives... And we were all out of meat.

Yeah I did that... No they wanted me too actually continue my patrol....
No idea if that sub symbol appeared after I sent the report or not.. I did that awhile ago... So I don't know if they are connected to be honest. My next partol if I can stomach it... I will see.

Are you sure it was deleted? Maybe it was merged into a "How do I..."
thread. :hmmm: It does not make any sense to delete your question, because it is certainly a fair complaint, and you worded it well. I'm impressed with the great level of support other guys here have posted, you would think Ubisoft would be helping with this kind of support in their forum, not ignoring it. I mean, if the game has issues, then Ubisoft should man up to it and say "the game has issues, we will try to help you with it."

I've had this problem, too. I finished a patrol and sailed back to Kiel, ending up right on top of the home base icon. For me, it seemed that there was a bug that caused the 'status' icons at the top of the screen to disappear. I had to save and reload in order for the 'dock' icon to show up.
I've found that this happens with a lot of things. The game doesn't seem to handle TC very well.

No I have auto TDC on (which is a joke) but Since I could not dock I just kept sailing back to port reloading and go back to hunting. My first 2 loads I could not hit anything. Because I did not understand the TDC (still really don').
But I think I reloaded at the port 5 times.
Sank 6 ships that totaled just over 50K.
1 was a huge ocean liner. I must of caught a troop transport convoy because there were like 10 of them. But I only sank one though. I hit another but it did not sink.
Oh and My post on ubi magically showed back up again after about half hour after I complained in this thread. I most certainly was gone though.

Also having problems with this. Head over to Wilhelmshaven and park right on top of the icon but it won't let me dock. It even lights up but does nothing. Help please!!

Ouch, 50-100k? That's an insane tonnage for one boat! I cannot even imagine sinking that many in several patrols, let alone one. I suppose the thinking behind this is that it keeps you in the action for longer, but really, that kind of tonnage is just ridiculous.
If one U-boat was racking up those kind of amounts on each patrol, the war would soon be over!
