Almost moments from playing my new campaign and I feel I need some good music for my game.I am already aware of most of the sites and links that provide WWII era music for the game, but I would also like to hear some of my own personal music for the game, mainly in attack scenarios. Now my preferred music is heavy/death metal and I would love to hear tracks from the following bands in an attack scenario -
Bolt Thrower (great English death metal band),especially the track 'those once loyal'.
Amon Amarth (viking metal from Sweden) (good tracks are 'Dragon's flight across the waves' 'north sea storm' 'victorious march' 'death in fire'.
Heidevolk (Dutch folk metal) (good track 'Saksenland')

You get the idea what I am trying to achieve here,I want aggressive music for aggressive situations :arrgh!:

It seems the only feasible way to get most of these downloads is from public servers like 'imesh' ?.I would however prefer direct links to such tracks.I already have some of the original band discs but not all of them as a lot I have in mind are from the 90s and I lost them years ago :nope:

Cheers!

Not sure, however I can get the downloads.I don't use torrent sites, would prefer an alternative if there is one.
How do you mean I am walking a fine line?
Oh,you mean by conducting in piracy?,well I dont conduct in piracy and I have the DVD version of SH3,all my games are retail versions. The only piracy I ever engage in is sinking cargo with my UBoat.

Maybe I should remove this thread and just stick to WWII era music, getting hold of the aforementioned music online is going to be difficult.

Amazon.com sells MP3's for under a dollar apiece.

Amazon.com MP3 Downloads (http://www.amazon.com/MP3-Music-Download/b/ref=sa_menu_dmusic1/181-2416515-6859005?_encoding=UTF8&node=163856011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=left-nav-1&pf_rd_r=118FX373MM88XKFGENPD&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=328655101&pf_rd_i=507846)

Paul,
I am not sure what it is that you want. If you own the CD of the music you want, rip it to your computer and convert it to ogg (I use FileFactory), and then place it in your sound folder.

Basically I used to own the tracks I am after, but sadly over the years they have been misplaced or even lost.I CAN find the tracks on various sites but they are simply links to hear the music, not to download them to your hard drive.I will probably buy the discs in question and then just burn them as Irish mentioned.

Thanks anyway :)

Just as well Paul, looking at that erm crap/music you listed I reckon your running the risk of going deaf. :o

It's simpler than that. Download www.goldwave.com (http://www.goldwave.com) and use it to convert all your favorites to MP3 yourself.

To the best of my knowledge this is a free/legal MP3 download site.

The example is a search result for the word 'Human' (The Killers are currently one of my favourite groups).

:rotfl2:@ Jim,nothing wrong with a bit of death metal to warm the spirits of your men as they get pounded with DCs.
Thanks for the links all the same

Jim,
I used the site and got a few hits for the stuff I am after, however, when I choose 'download file' it takes me to windows media player, and not an actual download that I can save to my hard drive/s
Think I may have done something wrong :shucks:

UPDATE
I have seen the burn tab at the top of media player,I guess this is what i'm after? And can I burn straight to an external hard drive instead of a disc?
Thanks!

When you find the track your after simply right click on the green lettering that gives the name of the tune and the artist and select 'save target as' and select a location.

My example below: http://beemp3.com/download.php?file=6579731&song=Human

Please be advised that under the terms and conditions of the site you are expected to delete the file/s after you have listened to the tune.

If you are int metal you should already know that band: I think they did the best song about U-boats since the "U-boot Lied"

You know I have heard a lot of heavy/death metal bands in my life, and have been listening to it for about 20 years, but I have never heard of this track or even the band, but its quite a decent tune. Thanks for your interest in the thread and feel free to let me know of any more tracks you feel fitting for...well,MY experience in the game
I definitely think Amon Amarth are a good band for the game, especially tracks like 'north sea storm' and 'dragons flight across the waves'. Vikings would have made good submariners I think,or vice versa ? :D
