Was halfway to england, and saw him going the opposite way. Figured i'd pull up and chat.

Nice! I haven't run into one in the open yet, but as I was outbound in the Kiel Canal I passed one that was inbound. I also noticed the lack of watch crew :nope:

cool screenshots, hopefully someone will add a watch crew to AI subs on surface.They did with AI I-Boats and U-boats in SH 4 mods.

Still, I really like the AI subs being around. But now I know why that british sub i fired at didn't fire back - they were all below playing cards!

Still, I think it wouldn't be too hard to add crew in watch positions. I don't know whether we could make them go below when they dive but it would be a start at least.

OK - in full disclosure - I haven't played SH5.

However, from multiple bug posts - it appears that the sub in the pic has the same thing going on as the player sub - absent watchmen! The only difference is that the other sub crew just isn't there - while yours LOOKS like they are there, but actually are off in a "drug induced haze" land as one poster put it.......

I gotta say, I am beginning to be glad I haven't spent money on this yet.
