Anyone found out if the Wolfpacks made it?

I did a search before I asked the question and did not find it answered. BUT, if it has already been asked AND answered, feel free to send a torp under my keel!
So, new players, have you seen any evidence of Wolfpacks being included?:hmmm:

Yep, I see the layers of Wolfpacks, milkcows, and other single uboats in the campaign files, via the mission editor.

...hmmm seems like too much expectations for now, from what I've seen (I did not experienced) it's not really supposed to be ''combined'', or at least not now. They said that if you report a convoy, chances are that other boats may join you, but no interaction with BdU. (would be amazing if it could be modded).

I consider my purchase an investment on future awesomeness.

I want players to confirm that wolfpacks exists in the game and that other subs attack your convoys that you are shadowing.

Perhaps scripts will help on this part later?

i wonder if the "wolfpacks" are submerged submarines (@ periscope depth) that fire torps and stuff (seems the most logical way to me) or just surfaced "boats" like all the rest, firing deck guns, torps using UZO, and just getting destroyed easily by escorts and such

I think it's more like 'semi-wolfpacks', meaning yes there are AI subs out there but there is no real dynamic communications.

This will be very interesting to see what it is. And how it works. Have a feeling its not going to be like we think.... If it worked that way then they would of been showing off the videos of it.

the impression i got from what the devs told us is a "few" subs will show up and will attack the convoy if you shadow it and stay in contact with it

but they cautioned it wasnt going to be organized like the wolfpacks most people think of but more in line with a few AI subs show up and fire on the ships is all. (sort of like how when you are detected a few DD would show up to look for you)

i think the key will be how long and what kind of attack will they make? will it be one or two torpedos fired then go away?

will it be a reasonable effort to do damage and will they finish off all the damaged straglers or can you pick off the ones that are damaged?

what can be modded as it is set up sounds like it "might" just "might" be modded to look prety nice if we can control the number of subs that show up to resemble a realistic wolfpack even though no interaction can be aranged
