Has there ever been a title released 'early'.
Yes I'm fully aware of the under the counter deals, the leaked copys, etc.)
But have you ever witnessed a widespread availaibility? There must be hundreds out there by now and it's not even out yet :yep:
I recollect the days of waiting on the UPS truck arriving at the local brick and mortor story. Helping the latest 'help' open the boxes looking for the latest this or that.
There were tens of thousands of dollar fines for loosing the material prematurely.
:oops::nope::haha:
Sometimes they accidentally put them on shelves a day or two early but I have never heard of it being done so many days before official release. I also wish they would let us preload the game. Will take me forever to dl it. I suppose I could buy a hard copy but I always cant find the disk when I need it.

Probably just a communications error.
6 copies at EB Games in Dartmouth, NS on the shelf (well... now 5. One is installing as I write this).

Sure. I remember quite a few early copies of SHIII and IV floating around in much the same fashion to be honest.
Might just be a Canadian thing :O:

Us Canadians just don't wanna play by the rules!
That sucks, I used to live in Halifax - im in Fredericton now and could find the game nowhere today. Of course its released in Dartmouth! Then again, it is Dartmouth after all.... :hmmm::O:
Anything besides really obvious blockbuster games like Call of Duty or something like that are almost never released on time here. Fredericton has the worst EB Games I've ever been to.
I remember trying to get Empire Total War when that came out, they didnt even know what I was talking about. To steam I went.

Many titles are released early here. A guy just got fined $1.5m for buying a game--from a shop--one week before worldwide release. Bugger got done for u/l it though to prove to the world that he had it (whatever happened to a simple photograph or screenshot?).
If you are an Aussie looking for SH5 early, just go to your local EB Games or DSE store and if it's not on the shelf, ask nicely...
