Depth Charges are nothing to a terremoto (big earthquaque.)
I survived without damage nor injuries in my building.
Catastrophe is huge. Over 14 cities partialy destroyed. Roads buckled bridges down. thousands homeless.

Bonus disaster, a tsunamy wiped out several towns.

So far, only 700 deaths reported, but communications are still bad.

Will report more later.

Good to hear the big one's gone easy on you! Hope everything is fine, let us know how things are and enjoy your beer. Things like these are sure quite the reminder not to take those quiet times with a cold one for granted :)

Santiago is getting back to normal. A few buildings may collapse. Supermarkets busy as people buy food to donate.
Military have restored order in areas where looting and robberies took place.

The Tsunami hit 3 times completely destroying many towns and villages.

In Talcahuano, naval base damaged, large fishing boats block traffic in city center.

For donations contact UNICEF in your country. They are needed.

Is there a lot of anger at the Governments response? A lot of the reporting up here is making a big deal out of it.

Yes, thwre is anger. Some of it latent because of economic inequalities, another because government was to slow or loath to call out the military.

Latest good news is that thousands of university students are volunteering and working in collecting and distributing food and clothing.

This volunteerism is growing and awe inspiring.
