Ok--getting confused now. I've got a pre-order with Amazon which is the standard edition. Now I see that I could buy the "gold" edition from Direct2Drive, which includes some other, non-playable subs, and other vessels. And of course, the collector's edition, which doesn't seem to be available in the US.

Should I cancel my pre-order with Amazon and get the "Gold" version? If the collector's edition will be available for the US, I'd like to get that instead.

I have a 1.2mbs connection--wonder how long it would take to d/load the Gold version from D2D.

Any advice?

Ya i preordered the gold from direct2drive from my understanding i might be wrong but the gold is the digital version of said collectors edition??

Reason i got it from dir2drive and not steam is i can download it here in germany on the 2nd of march with everybody else, plus its the gold version. Steam is kind of lame sometimes since i havent figured out a proxy thing for it yet.:damn:

Are you sure you can get it from dir2drive from Germany?
I was cheching that option and seems it is only avalaible for customers in the USA.
It is not on the list of coming soon game if you use the EU region of dir2drive.
Or at least I am not able to find it.

Furia as im originally from the states and billing address is thier plus i go to this link here and use a proxy to purchase the game then open up a fresh browser go to direct2drive and download game ive done this with 3 or so games now that i stumbled into this
