Transfering Crew to a New Boat

I'm getting ready to trade in my old VIIB boat for a IXC. When you buy your new boat, does the crew transfer to the new boat? I'd hate to leave that veteran crew to some newbie Kaptain.

I just transfered from a II to a IX and, yes, my crew was transfered. I was told that I had to get some more petty officers because the IX was seriously understaffed with just my Type-II crew. :)

I suppose you want to be careful when transfering to a _smaller_ uboat...

Oh, not sure if this makes any difference, but I'm also using SH3 Commander. (I mean, who doesn't? :D )
