Trigger Maru 1.4

I have the first SH4 Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific v1.4.

I love it, and I'm still playing it.

I soon discovered Trigger Maru 1.4.

Even better!

Love it.

But, now I'm ready to move on.

Is there another better version of Trigger Maru which would work with SH4 v1.4?

I think you need to have SH4 1.5 U Boat Missions for this above link.

But there are still newer versions of Trigger Maru for 1.4

I've just installed a wee while back along with RSRD (Run Silent Run Deep) to match.

RSRD give a box full of new shipping traffic etc

With 1.4 it doesnt get better than TMO1.4 and RSRD. Although I havnt tried RFB1.4. Its not perfect, there are quite a few rough areas which Im sure are fixed in later versions but the difference over stock is good enough.

I have tried RFB, but wasn't thrilled about it.

But, I have taken the advice offered here and ordered Silent Hunter 4 Gold with Add-on from Amazon.com.

Got a good price also.

Just looking for another "challenge".

I had a new start with SH4 on TMO1.8 - after a rather long brake. I made a marvelous sneak attack on a 10k pot guarded by two dd's - and - put four dud's into it... then i suddently felt very tired and wen't to bed.

Besides that TMO1.8 is a great enrichment in many aspects, do you still find yourself with this kind of problems in TMO1.9 ?

I just received SH4 Gold.

Question 1: Does this need a "patch"? If so, where can I d/l it?

Question 2: I have SH4 v1.4 and TMO v1.4, I want to "up grade", which version (TMO) can I run?

Unless errors, SH4 Gold contains Add-On U-Boat Missions.

1. No need to patch.
2. With SH4 U-Boat Missions use Trigger_Maru_Overhauled 1.9

Lot's of other nice little mods you can run with TMO 1.9
RSRD..
TMO interiors 3D..
EAX sound with Pouls sounds first is a must for good sound.
Easy AOB is a must for me.

Update time...

Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific, Gold Edition, with U-Boat Missions add-on.

Installed; no problem.

Downloaded TMO 1.9 and the "patch" to go along with it.

Problem, mission 1: Report to area "Convoy College" and await further instructions.

No problem.

Plot course, no problem.

Reach destination, no problem. Orders arrive, search and destroy at Captains discretion. Again, no problem.

After seceral days I run into a convoy, 3 escorts, 5 transports. Alrighty then, first victims.

Wipe out the entire convoy.

Save game.

Plot course back to base as I have 2 "fish" left and both are in the aft tubes.

I make it about 100 miles from I was and I get an error message.

Game shuts down.

No problem, I back tract, and load from previous save.

Same thing happens again.

This happens 3 times.

Something in the error report about a "sound.dat" (I think).

Is it me, or the game, the computer, or a bug?

Should I try another version of TMO?
