CNN article (http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/02/23/women.sub.duty/index.html?hpt=T1). About damned time I say. Apparently officers will be the first to be integrated-I forget if the enlisteds still hot-bunk nowadays.

I wish the women who volunteer for this service the best of luck.

And the same to the men.

Same as the above poster.

Personally, I believe it work better if the junior enlisted would arrive first on the subs first and then work their way up the ranks, eventually making officer and chief. Then again, there's the issue of berthing.

I am not sure how much interest there is in this forum for discussion of this topic. As a retired US submariner, I have been interested in subs and simulations just about from the very beginnings of PC days. I'd like to broach this topic because some of you may have an opinion.

SUBJ: Women on submarines as crewmembers. I'd just like to surface this topic as it is getting close to the finish line. It's time to get involved contacting our congressmen one way or the other. I am opposed. Here's my opinion on this topic: http://www.14olcott.net/images/stori...JAM_022410.pdf (http://www.14olcott.net/images/stories/john/Submarines/WomenServingAboardSubmarines_JAM_022410.pdf)

Thanks for taking the time to consider my post. Game on!
