found some interesting posts in the german ubi forum. a new member posted a thread, where is states his anger about seeing a leaked and cracked version, which was presented by a friend to him...as he by himself had already preordered the game. now he had to see, that another one already got the game and it was full functional. without any need of net access.

anyone got news on that? might be the preview-version...same as with "stalker" a few years ago.

that would make UBI look very dumb! same thing with Empire TW, it was released on steam to fight pirates, but the cracked game came out before the legit game did.

If true maybe the get out Ubi have been waiting for to take out or patch an offline game in the official game release.

I have read in some forum, a disgruntled former UBI employee posting some general info about what's going on at Ubi. He claimed he was in regular contact with people at the company. Lots of unhappy people there.

If true, that is how it starts. I wouldn't be surprised if cracked copies are already available.

Im not applauded....its only show the irony and useless of DRM... I pre-order 3 month ago at Amazon.de....

No, it shows that stronger protections are forthcoming. If my .22 rifle did not bring down that rabbit this here .44 magnum sure will. :03: Good luck to us. Just as in the past people complained about Starforce do they now complain about DRM and want Starforce back.

the leaders of this company lost to much energy in franchise, merchandise license crap...like avatar and all the other games, just made for the fast money without any content or nice gameplay. or look at hawx...nobody bought this crap.

therefore other, successful games where neglected, like our sh series. many wrong decisions caused the actual situation. and to suit a very successful game like AC2 with such a dumb "protection" which throws the people out the game and let them just load the last checkpoint...

how could they be that unprofessional???

Looks fake. The OP just registered for that one post, credability of his claim is more than questionable.

If you read the whole thread, it is stated farther down that the news of the leak is a fake.
