This one caught my eye last night on the news. Apparently the school district snapped a webcam pic of one of their students misbehaving in his own home, using a laptop that had been issued to him by the school district. Pulled three sources:

Being the paranoid type, I would have just taped over the webcam. :shifty:

Wow! that stynks!

I imagine some lawyers will be getting rich off of this case.

I would spread the word to cover all webcams when not "in use".

I think the schools will be having a bad day in court. And a well deserved bad day in my opinion.

It is actually creepy to think that there is some school administrator, sitting on a beach towel, trolling the webcams of the female (or male) student... bodies.

The CBS early show brought one of the female students and her mother on today. The daughter stated that she kept her laptop open pretty much all the time. I'd feel violated and maybe even a bit foolish in such circumstances.

My comment above about taping over the webcam is silly. :oops:
