Just stumbled across this article on a new MMO from Wargaming.net called World of Tanks. Looks interesting even if the trailer is a bit odd:

There's a contest going on the official World of Tanks website. THey're choosing the best motto.

And the beta-test is already going on in russia. I know that because I'm taking part in it as I live in russian speaking country

It looks like MMORPG You act as a tank commander. your work in a team and fight against other teams. Also you have a possibility to choose between different shells as Different shells are used for different armor. There're only german and ussr tanks right now but developers promised to introduced japanese usa and british tanks in the near future.

You don't have all tanks available right at the beginning so you need to fight in order to get more experience points and be able to buy more powerfull tank
