For one I'm glad the media circus finally settled down. Got so tired of hearing about it every night :damn: when the news came on. (Just give me the weather and football scores)

Beyond that, I'll have to wait until Tiger himself speaks publicly. Hope he manages to pull things together after all of that.

I am pretty sure I would have had more than 14 hobbies if I were Tiger Woods.

Don't care.

What does wind me up though is this new fascination with peoples private lives and the press' insistence to plaster this tosh all over the place.

They say 'he's a role model' and should be squeaky clean. BS! He is a role model for any budding golfer and sports enthusiast but as long as he doesn't bed one of his birds on the 19th hole who should care. If he wants to booze it up and bed them down, more power to him.

Being in the public eye does not mean that your private life becomes public and free for all.

In that sense Tiger should grow a pair and tell them all to F off.

I definitely agree with you there. The sneak-peek into the gritty details of celebrity life. Tiger went the indirect approach. Rather than "face the media" he fell off the face of the Earth for a while and started working on his problems. That's admirable in my book.

You lost me at the word "golf.":03:
It does give the the news media something to do though, other than cover real news.

Guy gets rich and famous. Women through themselves at him. He doesn't say no.

Didn't Solomon have 300 wives and 700 concubines?

In my dorm at one of the places I went to school were two good looking sons of millionaires. Seeing their goings-on completely reinforced my cynicism in what attracts women.

He is a man without honour. As such I have nothing but contempt for him.

I don't wish him ill, but I would rather not hear about him.

The one I got to laugh about when this kinda topic comes up is Clinton.

For Gods sake he was President of The United States.

And the best he could do was that dog Lewinsky ?

That should have embarassed him the most. :har:

That alone tells you he was a loser.:yep:

I gotta give Tiger credit for one thing.

The ones that have surfaced so far may not have been to bright but, they were damn good lookers. :yeah:

The President can't really act too discreetly, now can he?

At least he didn't start an illegitimate war, and than give billions in no-bid contracts to Halliburton/KBR/Blackwater...

notice how his girlfriend said she never SLEPT with Tiger. I imagine that Tiger spent little time sleeping with his "ladies". :D

1) Halliburton did have to bid for Iraq contracts.

2) Halliburton was a major supplier when Clinton sent troops into Kosovo.

Not trying to change the subject - Torvald already did that.

As for Tiger? Meh.

The fact that this is now the global no. 1 news item in the world is quite interesting. It tells a lot about who controls the global news machine, for a lack of a better word, and what the aims of this machine are.

That this is considered newsworthy even for a GT Forum topic says far more about the media and cult of celebrity groupies than it does about Tiger Woods the man.

There might be an extremely remote chance that in some other reality I could care less but doing so is not worth the effort.
