Just WoW
James Swan is 27-year-old. He still lives with his mom, sleeping in a room with his younger siblings. He also likes to play World of Warcraft without mom telling him when it's time to quit. We're pretty sure you can guess where this is going...

Now that's just sad.
The comments, on the other hand, are kind of fun to read

These games should be outlawed just like all the other drugs! People should not be held responsible for things they do while on games! His mother didn't raise him right! He's just misunderstood! He was always such a nice quiet boy!
This guy needs some jail time. And then some therapy.

The Frau's sister was once addicted to WoW. I mean she stopped working, ran up all sorts of bills, basically shut down her life except for this game.
Sad and scary especially considering that her sister is in her 40's and was in a pretty responsible and well paying job. She threw all that away for a stupid game.
I liked playing WoW and I played it a lot, but I never forgot my "real life" responsibilities. I could imagine her sister getting violent in this situation. :nope:
Actually as we found out in therapy with another similar problem in her family, this is more accurately considered a compulsion instead of an addiction. Both are similar but the treatment for each is different.
But no matter what you call it, it can destroy lives and families. In the example given by the OP, it can literally destroy lives. :nope:
