Hi all,

Long time member, not posted for a while though. Heard the music I used to hear each time I started SHIII on the TV today and I can't remember the title at all. I can't remember if it was on stock SHIII or with the GWX mod. I remember seeing the start of Das Boot in the background (Which would push towards it being the GWX mod where I heard the music).

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's the GWX music it'll be:

Craig Armstong - Escape

Someone has uploaded it to youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhP6F-vxeZI if you wish to verify that they are one and the same.

The above link is not entirely accurate in that the soundtrack from Plunkett and MacCleane has two separate tracks....Hanging and Escape.

The track in GWX3.0 is hanging and what is posted above is the two tracks joined together....same music but different (if you follow me).

Click on my FF link below to access my gramaphone tracks, there are currently 10 files and whilst I can't say for sure which file contains the tracks I do recall they are in an early/low number (perhaps no 4).

... the soundtrack from Plunkett and MacCleane ...

A movie to see and a soundtrack to listen to!

Aye.
I remember the first time I heard it on TV. Was a documentary about really big bridges.
There was a stunning aerial tracking shot of some massive bridge in France (can't remember which one). Then all of a sudden the music kicked in.
Fair sent shivers down my spine.
A really beautiful and emotive piece of music.

Ignore the YouTube titles:

Hanging...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NGVi9Ccdow&mode=related&search=

Escape...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdZqQ5C7pN0

Lol Jim, I think Mr. Fleck, our good friend, was trying to trick us into believing opposites again!
"ITS A TRAP!"
