Crossfire Support

Hello All,

I am new to subsim's and new to this forum. I am quite anxious to begin using SH4, however, I have a question. I have two Radeon 5770's installed in a CrossFireX configuration. Also, I have my Catalyst Control center configured to display a CrossFire logo whenever an application uses the cards in CrossFire configuration.

When using SH4, there is no CrossFireX logo which leads me to believe that SH4 is using only one of my video cards. Furthermore, when I exit SH4 and check the cards using Catalyst Control Center, only the primary video card is hot, the secondary card looks as though it is idling.

I have applied all SH4 patches (from Ubisoft).

So, my question is - does SH4 support CrossFireX configuration or will it use only the primary video card?

SH4 does not support Crossfire or SLI.

Ok - thanks for the info. The single Radeon 5770 seems to handle the sim OK so off we go..........

Crossfire works wondefully in SH4. You'll just have to do a few extra steps:

Make sure CF is enabled in CCC/Ati tray tools
Put Catalyst AI to "High"
Rename sh4.exe to AFR-FriendlyD3D.exe

If there's problems, like corrupted navmap textures or similar, drop Catalyst AI to "Low". You might lose some FPS but at least it works.

That's all, you can now enjoy Crossfire. Not that you need it with a 5770 though :salute:
