weather does not affect u-boat at periscope depth?

I,ve seen neals video and noticed that the weather doesnt effect the u-boat at periscope depth at all. We had this in sh-3 but for some reason they left it out of sh-4 and it felt like it had the physics of a nuclear sub. I was hoping we would see the effect back in sh-5. Or maybe the weather wasnt bad enough or it was something in the options? What do you think?

It has been rumored that they maybe left out bad weather ( in neal's videos it's pretty bad though ) because the waves are so detailed it would be hard with bad weather too. I would love the uboat to be affected by the weather sometimes, but it seems as one of those things you put into a game as one of the many final touches, and if they dont have time it might not happen.

Game-mechanical, however, the things that could be caused of bad wather could be - bad speed, - wearing ( scuff ) of the uboat, - harder to aim with periscope. That's the game mechanic, and then we have the details, like, you see the uboat rolling/rocking in the water, and that inside the uboat you feel the waves/weather.

However, what do you mean you want it like? Like in Silent hunter 3 or something else?

I find it hard to believe they left out really bad weather. I mean in neal,s clips the weather is bad but the waves are still quite calm though. They had bad weather in all the silent hunter versions and now they would decide not to have stroms and stuff? Nah i really dont think so.

I,m sure there is some sort of storm in sh-5. I mean if the bad weather cannont get any worse then what we have seen it would be the lamest thing since DRM.

Well there was no bad bad weather in SH-3 (30 knot wind max) so why would you think that there would be any now?

i was taking notice of the merchant ships motion in his videos and while it wasnt a big movement the ships do pitch forward and back on the bow and stern like its effected by the waves so if the ships have more realistic wave motion i cant see the subs not having it too.

maybe it just needs mod tweaks to animate it more, lets hope anyway
