Well, after many weeks of recording, mixing and remixing, we finally have some new stuff to offer, and this time some of it's mine!

Childhood Dreams: This one was up for a long time, but in an unfinished state. With the addition of tambourine and chimes, and some additional vocals and remixing, we think we finally have it the way we want it.

Cry Wolf: Same thing. The version we had up a while ago was unfinished. We're happy with this version.

Through A Hole: This is an older song of ours, written by Charles about Kurt Cobain. It can be seen live on our video, but we've never recorded it properly...until now.

The Devil's Knock: This song got the best comments from people who watched the videos, and this is the home studio version.

Menace To Society: This is one of our newest songs, and it's all mine. Written last summer, the first two verses are based on actual incidents, and the other two mainly concern the way I look at life. It's still unfinished, lacking harmony vocals and a final mix, and I'm thinking about redoing the lead vocal, but you can get the general idea from what's here.

Sorry about that. The link's always been in my sig, so I just forgot about it.

I'm currently out of work and homeless. If you know of a "good" sound man with a studio who will work for free, let me know. If not, we'll keep using the computer until further notice.:D

Oh, and don't forget the videos:

had some spare time today and was getting bored so I thought "let's hear what Sailor Steve's band actually sounds like"
I have to say - I was pleasantly surprised:D

Cry Wolf sounds very good actually, I really like its main riff

Also, Menace to Society sounds really good - kinda reminds me of the good ole metal oldies like Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden

hmm, you say The Devil's Knock got the best viewer comments? Weird, that's actually the song I like the least to be honest... Blame it on me being a metalhead:rock::D

Gladly, you metalhead!:sunny:

Thanks for the compliments. We pride ourselves on our variety, writing anything from folk to country to talking blues. We currently have about 70 originals either done or in the works.

And don't forget the videos.

Videos! Hurrah!

EDIT:

How long has your band been together, btw? You sound great up there.

You can read the whole story on the website. Basically Charles and Clay played together for a couple of years before I joined them in 1992. We were mostly a cover band back then, and went through a succession of drummers before breaking up, not from hostility but because of some personal problems (drinking, marriage and such).

Charles got us back together in 2004 to do some recording, and it just sort of grew from there, and we did some stuff and went our separate ways again.

This time we got together again for some fun, last May. Right after we did the gig on the videos somebody asked us how long we've been together, and we laughed when his jaw dropped as Charles said "Oh, five months or so."

Our current drummer, Chris, is Charles's son, so we have quite a range of ages as well.

You guys are probably better then most bands claiming band-status in Finland right now. Sounds good, keep on rocking.

Well those bands are ok but personally I'm not into bands where the guys wear eyeliner etc.

I don't think Steve was wearing any eyeliner in those videos, although it didn't really zoom into his eyes. :hmmm::DL
