Can i save Gunther Prien if i go to 60.00N/19.00W on the 7th march 1941 ?

Hmm...
There are 10 uboats, no Schepke, no Kretschmer...

I checked the wikipedia: 24 uboats of type VIIB, three of them was ordered by Prien, Schepke and Kretschmer...

The question: why only 10 uboats of VIIB type?
What is the reason of reducing the quantity and whether the quantity has an impact on the game?

That would be the website, and it just shows a number of famous u-boats of the type in question, and their sinking location.

To answer this question, I had to look through Clay Blair's Bible.

Nobody knows how Prein died, as he reported a contact report then suddenly died.
He probably died from a torpedo circling around and killing him and his ship, as no escorts reported sinking a submarine in that area.

Due to the fact that no one really knows Priens ultimate fate it would be hard to save him from it. :up:

There was the prosecution of a suspected U-boat in the area by the corvettes HMS Camellia and HMS Arbutus but no confirmation of a sinking.

If we have ai uboats then couldnt one be scripted in as Priens and make a scenario that might have happened . Like fighting with a DD . Maybe if we arrive there on that date we have a chance to sink the DD and save Prien .

It would be good info if it actually told you which boat it was and I didn't have to go to uboat.net to find out.:O:

Will the map be something like the SH4 map with coordinates around the border but, with grids also ?

Whichever it is, I'm betting it was a mechanical error in the boat, even if he was attacked or not.
Easily possible, just look at the age of his boat.
