I always wished I had been born prior to the Apollo launches, and in Florida for at least one of them. The Saturn V must have been a tremendous sight to behold at liftoff. :)

It wasn't that loud in Titusville. The pads were 6-7 miles out.

Wow, that was the launch from Feb 13? I thought about seeing that but passed on it... and now I regret it.
I was walking around downtown disney with the GF that day and noticed a "contrail" to the east that appeared to be vertical instead of horizontal. So I think I barely missed that one, just needed to go outside a few minutes earlier.

Yeah, that's what I meant. The 13th was a saturday, this was a thursday IIRC.
