OK here we go! Now that rests 1 month to be released,dont you think UBI its time to start developing new 3D vessels and systems like addon? Two branches would be ok,
1-Surface addon,implementing some kind of Corvette and Destroyer.
2-Submarine addon,giving way to other Navies detailed subs,T class,S class,Gato,XIX type.
Hardly worth thinking about that when we haven't got the whole war yet and only 1/5(+) U-boats.

Good for you, a little too quick if you ask me but, enjoy your metal case...
For your addon suggestions, you're not aware that the war campaign is half missing and only ONE type of uboat is included? First these should be addressed and then maybe move on to fantasy stuff.

The metal box it comes in is actually a Ubisoft server. Just plug it into any wall outlet and it will fail to connect to the internet.

You know, there are going to be threads in this forum where people actually enjoy the game or want to discuss the game. Please don't hijack these type of threads with more DRM lectures. Is that fair? :)

The priority for both the devs and the modders will be to improve the initial line-up... Type VII. If possible, add more U-boat types, extend the campaign, rework the interface and so on. Without doubt there will be some working on a surface ship mod. But if you want to play an allied escort or sub, you'll have to wait for a pretty long time and pray that the devs will include such things in a DLC or even in SH6.

BTW Neal, I have found music can be downloaded from Amazon. My daughter wants to load a crap load to her PSP. Looks like we will be going through SS Amazon.

That is AWESOME! Yeah, I just learned that music downloads through Subsim/Amazon still only cost you .99 but they yield a .50 commission for SS. Thanks, and now, back to the topic before Webster infracts me for hijacking :O:

There seems to be a huge potential in add-on and upgrades with this version. I would much rather have more content then numbers of years on a drop down menu.

Talking about metal things , if anyone wants a uboat engine rpm dial faceplate 1939 and lives in brisbane australia they can have it . Its just sitting in my shed.

Now that would be super, provided SH5 isn't a full let-down. Though I must say that if there's a posibility of not having to wait and be able to do it via mods, it would definitely make it a product to consider buying, despite the terrible odds being faced right now.

Hmmm yes, The General has been in for a rough ride of late, with that thread where he tried to ban himself... not good.
I don't think I'll be buying the collector's edition, as it seems to be a load of plastic tat. I'll be reporting on how good the game is though, if I am able to install it on day one, which isn't entirely guaranteed.

I want :D but I don't live in Brisbane... However can't mail charges be paid for by the person who receives it? Reverse charge or how's it called? I doubt it would cost much more than a simple mail ;) And I think I can even find a way to repay the favor :03:

Don't be so aggresive. What exactly is the topic at this point? Such and such has pre-ordered the game. Or perhaps what will the add-ons be. Or perhaps Will people who pre-ordered the game be able o play on the first day of release, or is it perhaps who wants an RPM dial face plate?
You see, the threads evolve and people respond to them as they evolve. Neal did not ever say that we could not discuss DRM, he just asked that not every thread became a discussion of DRM just because that was the hot button. He said that we should feel free to express our thoughts and feelings on DRM, but to respect other's views on DRM, so that means we CAN say that DRM sucks, but not that YOU SUCK BECAUSE YOU LIKE DRM. We also shouldn't say it in a thread where it had not been raised before (reading between the lines).

Actually, I posted a warning for several different members, which is why no one was quoted in the initial message. You seem to have taken it as though it was directed to you, which I explained was not the case. Well, the OP's post is: I've just bought SH5, what should the devs make next. DC2, or more submarines available as add-ons. This isn't really a new thread and it's not like it hasn't been discussed before is it? People are getting ratty, no doubt, just look at the reception that some recent news got that had the misfortune to have been posted before - several ratty people scolding the OP for not being up to date. This used to be a place where you could start a thread and have it evolve into a discussion, not where the forum nazis stamped on you for deviating from the OP's last will and testament. I mean when the heck has any thread here ever been held to a standard of 'that's not what the OP asked'.
Haven't threads here always been allowed to evolve?

Yes. All of the above.
The big problem I see is that each and every single ship is going to have to have the complete interior made, and crew scripted to not walk through the walls (or into them), and proper voice files created. This will take a lot of time and money, so probably the other u-boat types will have to come first. This would probably have been easier to accomplish with SH3 or SH4 - the simpler the platform the easier the implementation.
I would love to run a Flower class corvette across the Atlantic, though.:rock:

I really am looking forward to someone buying this thing and proving all us nay sayers wrong -

As thing's stand it's my enduring hope that I get to eat my hat in a month or so - somehow I suspect I shall be content with more mundane nourishment.

Get yourself a toolbox and some fill it with new tools :DL. The limited edition version contents doesn't seem to match up with what the Ubi site said would be in it, but perhaps less is more.
