I have a question related to the topic:

Are those characters the only crew we are going to have in SH5? In every mission of each campaign we are going to start, we are going to have Josef Erdmann as our LI and so on for the others??

I really hope there will be some variety, but could anyone confirm??

yeah i think it will probably be the same characters all the time.

but that is not confirmed as far as i know

In that case I'm afraid for the re-playability of the game. The crew will follow the same evolutions from one campaign to the other, good bye surprises...

same sub + same crew for the whole campaign...I'm beginning to like the idea of finishing the campaign in 1943, and not 1945 !

Seeing Benno bawl every time you sight a convoy is gonna really hamper the replayability factor. :O:

If the crew never changes than why have the "passive abilities"? Having a "passive ability" attached to a character only makes sense if there will be an instance where that character won't be there.

Now are we playing a game where there is only one watch for the crew i.e., the same people man the same positions 24/7 for 60 days? That will make crew management a bit easier. :stare:

I'm going to guess most of them. They already had them modeled, eh?

And how long do you think that is going to last when the modders get ahold of things? The devs already said that the crewmembers will be completely changeable, right down to their appearance.

So, erm, instead of having "Willi Pelz" every career you'll have "Franz Johann". I mean, I'm sure the modders will change the guys substantially, but if SH5 is set up to re-use the same guys every career, then it really makes no difference. Unless, of course, someone builds an SH3Cmdr equivalent to mix the crew around each time? :hmmm:

Wow they did take away the special abilities...and fix the triplets that were aboard. Man, what's going on over there?
I guess they just released the first patch for the website. One down.
