With all this talk about DRM it seems that some blame it (at leasts for some part) on the devs. I mean i hate DRM to but we must not forget the devs work hard to give us a great sh-5 (sometimes also on saterdays and sundays) I mean guys lets at least hear it for the DEV,s

True, we all have expressed concern bout SH5 on multiple aspects, yet so far we simply can not say anything wrong about the devs. By "devs" I mean the designers, programmers and 3d-artists that actually create the game. That has more to do with how a game company works, not by a fan-sentiment or misplaced appreciation for a team we don't actually know. Q&A is dictated by marketing alone, DRM was ordered from much higher in the hierarchy and the decision to leave out certain features was a combination of factors. Bugs and patches will probably fall on the shoulders of testers and marketing.

I wish for the game to be a commercial and critical success. I wish for the devs to receive a pat on the back and a big bonus, rather than consolation and defending from the actions of others. I am more familiar to thanking and showing respect to fellow modders, as they spend a lot of time and effort to enrich this community. The devs are doing a job and are payed for it (more or less). Thus, I wish for them to do a superb job to the end and receive the proper appreciation from their superiors and the gaming community.

Picard out...

Yup you got it ..........Free to air TV in Australia!

Unless you like blind, dancing chefs with iron woks, building decks in other peoples yards, or silly rich Americans being nasty to one another in Random exotic locations while watching endless freaking tennis, cricket, football...(insert random ball game)

And if you don’t like that..... there’s always repeats of the repeats, of the repeats, of the repeats you watched in the 70's and 80's except with more adds and fake news updates!

Silent Hunter 5 developers you must save us from the Abyss - for a complete description of the Abyss please refer to the above description

Remember -

GOD INVENTED COMPUTERS SO DECENT, THOUGHTFUL PEOPLE WOULD'NT HAVE TO WATCH AUSTRALIAN TV

Just my two cents worth

After the idiocy of some of our members and their recent PM misadventures, I'd like to say that we appreciate all you do for us, and we feel very privileged that you all are around to give us what input you can on things. We are not all like that certain member and will not sell you up the river by making what is said in a PRIVATE message public.

Thank you again, for all you do. And Dan, I mean it - next time you're in Houston, the beer's on me. :()1:

:salute: The Devs are the heroes of this kaffafle. They not only create great games, but are the only ones showing good will from the Ubi side. They have been on the forefront doing good PR for Ubi.

:down:Meanwhile, the people who should be busy to douse the present firestorm are hiding behind OSP/DRM.

As the anger level of customers rises, the amazing incompetence of Ubi PR and marketing departments is pulling Ubi toward the abyss.

Once again, I salute the Devs :salute:

Yes agreed, the work and the blood, sweat and tears the devs team have undoubtebly been putting into this project has been pushed to the back of our minds lately. This latest situation has not been their doing. Respect to the guys on the dev team. Your work, dedication and commitment is appreciated .:yeah:.

I'll applaud the devs when the game is out.

I'm with Dowly on this...whilst I appreciate their assurance that SH5 will be very open to modding, I can only judge the game on what UBI have officially released so far...:hmmm:

lets wait, for what they have created. but one thing is true: we cannot blame them for decisions, ubi made.

I hope we can all keep one realisation in mind regarding whatever SHV turns out to be at the time of release......it is the men in suits at Ubi who will make the definitive decision/dictate the content, not the devs.

He who pays the piper calls the tune.

Again I feel for the devs I'm pretty sure that if they had a choice a less draconian measure of copy protection would be used.

Still I do appreciate their work.

To Ubisoft Romania,

I've said it before and I'll say it again; thank you very much for all the hard work on the Silent Hunter series. Pay no attention to the doubters, "You can't please all the people all of the time."

:dead:

Please differ, ok? Yes, they are doing good work so far - beside the buggy releases. BUT with ubi as employer, there are the wrong decisions made and the hard work fades away...and the doubt stays.

Devs, never forget: bad publicity is still publicity.

I can't wait to play your awesome game.

My wife isn't quite as thrilled. ;)
