22. It will give you a smug git face.

Seriously I don't see the point of it.

iPod, ok but there are better players out there and cheaper however it had a point to it.

iPhone, don't like it, don't know why I need all the apps god gives when really I can wait till I get home, but it is a phone.

iTablet....hmmm lets see what do I use it for??? **drums fingers on the desk**

REading electronic copies of magazines or newspapers? Maybe but what are you going to do when the annoying house fly or wasp comes near? It's raining a thick magazine or newspaper you acn use as a temporary umbrella to ruch from dry spot to dry spot.

You take a walk in the park for lunch, the bench is a little damp...darn you can't put your iPad on it as you need it to read too.

They tried the tablet PC a few years ago. It bombed....this will only work cos' it's an Apple and I don't want to look like the odd one out.

Please Steve Jobs, go crawl under a rock. Oh and you are way too old to be still doing the jeans and sweater look. You don't look cool just and oldie trying to be young.

I was looking at some of these E-book readers. They seem to work well if all one wants to do is sequentially read books (that's what they are designed for). What I would like to see is a reader more set up for research and retrieval as that is more what I am interested in.

Useless. But everybody wants one because it looks good, it's an Apple and it has a "snappy" interface (wth does that mean anyway?).

And reading on a LCD gives me a headache, but apparently I'm the only one. :-?

In all fairness it is more than an ebook reader, while it can accomplish that task its primary function is a browser platform.

I also belive it is somewhat of a netbook as well.

Still I aint buying one.

I've bought an E-book reader about one week ago, and I would never trade it for an iCrap. Of course you can read with the Apple, but it's a) cumbersome compared to a reader or a real book, b) lumincescent screens are not comfortable for prolonged reading.

26. The design is boringly similar to almost any other apple product out there, but people will still think it's really original and imaginative.

I have to say, I'm finding the connection between iPad (E-book reader ON STEROIDS!) and tampons (Well, you know) a little stretched. Then again, as I am a manly man, I don't usually have women's necessities on my mind very often ;) Although having just wrote all that now I can see why some people would make that connection... But definitely not the first thing I thought of when I saw the iPad

If I wanted a useless hippy toy that every graphics artist thought was cool - I would by one.
If I wanted an overpriced, overhyped gadget that had no real purpose, I'd buy one.

But then again, if I had ever wanted any of those things, I would own a Mac and an Ipod - but I don't.

Guess I won't own one of these either - and I am ok with that.:yeah:

You know, I saw this thing about iPhone apps on CNBC (a financial news network on cable here in the U.S.), and EVERY SINGLE PERSON involved w/Apple or Apple products in the show who wore glasses wore the same kind of glasses!!! These silly hipster black plastic framed things (not Buddy Holly glasses, but sort of).

EVERY.
SINGLE.
ONE.

For people who seem to view themselves as creative individualists, I find it funny that they seem to be wearing uniforms. I'm sure there are other examples of Apple fanboy/girl conformity to be found!!!

I swear I have a total hatred of all things from Apple. The lies, hype, and adverts have totally turned me off ever buying anything from them.

Overpriced useless rubbish about covers my thoughts on it.

#999 - you must always be connected to an iPAD server for the device to function. Otherwise it pauses until it either reconnects, or you turn the device off.

Sorry - couldn't resist!

I am very happy with my move from PC to Mac for my non-gaming computer needs. For a very long time I was a die-hard PC fan, but finally got sick of the problems with Microsoft products. Switched to the Mac and it has been smooth sailing. The only PC system I maintain is my gaming system. But for anything serious (school, finances, research, surfing for porn), it is Mac all the way.

I had a mac... never really liked it, because they I have to have 2 computers to do the job of one... the pc for gameing, and the mac for other bs... so I just decided to stick with the pc...

Compulsion and 'keeping up with the Joneses' I presume.

I went out to dinner the other night. A table near us had two couples. They were talking chatting carrying on. I looked at them to see what all the commotion was. They were all talking alright but not to each other, all four were on their cell phones either talking or texting :nope:

Someone yesterday was telling me they saw a video of a couple getting married. Right after they said "I do," they both interrupted the minister's next bit to pull out their iPhones and update their Facebook pages.

Don't know if it's true, of course, but I'm betting it's really happened at least once.

I just hope the minister interrupted *their* next bit to pull out his own gadget and Twitter something.
