Just think about it.
First of all. Ubisoft does not care about what subsim community wants. Their priority is making millions and not satisfy the needs of few hundred subsim nerds. Taking this game onto Xbox is the next logical step.
Since this game is now a FPS game, it can be very easily played on Xbox controller. You just need to move around and click on 3D object. No shortcut keys. You have to walk around. Sure the subsim community will go nuts but look at the box market. They will make TONS of money selling this game to kiddies. It would be stupid not to enter that market.
Right now they just keep it quiet because they dont want to attract negative attention from series fans.
Just you wait and see...

this I doubt.
at least UBI Romania (dev-team) did and does care as far as I've read the threads regarding their work .....

nah.. i am not talking about dev-s. They are different type of people, great people and i have huge respect for all of them.
I meant the UBI marketing guys. Their first priority is the money.

Fixed for ya.:DL
Naturally, Ubi would demonstrate more intelligence by adding it to the PS3's library of games, especially as it's the only console with native Keyboard and mouse support.
Although, I'm not sure Ubi know how to code for the PS3.

yes,for sure .
you donīt need TDC because the crew cand do it for you, and the same with plotting a couse, but itīs not a simulator, is a game
They are trying to capture a new kind of public ,so the interface, gameplay, history if all ready for the new costumers.
Sadly as in a some games the same name in different versions donīt means the same quality or realism .
farcry derived to crysis, (no to farcry 2)
Operation flashpoint to Arma ( no operation flashpoint 2)

Yep, me. :salute:
Having said that, I don't see why it's a problem if it is released for consoles. If it suffers consolitis then I'll be annoyed, but if it's a PC game and they port it to the Xbox then why should that bother me?

Because its usually the other way around.
"Okay, console dumbing down completed. Are we done?"
"Yes."
"Box art and massive internet campaign initiated?"
"Yes."
"PC version done?"
"Oh crap ..."
"Dont worry, just copy & paste and add slightly working mouse support."
"Ok..."
"Done?"
"Give me a second."
"Done?"
"Yeah, done!"
"Great! To the pub!"

I know what you're saying, and I hate it too, but SH5 seems to have been developed for PC. It's less than two months away and still no mention of a console version. The official site still says it's only for PC. And remember, it's built on the SH3/4 code base.
Maybe there will be a console version, but if there is then I'm betting it'll be a PC-to-console port not the other way around.
Oh, I know.:) SH5 does not look console at all. But I am afraid of the future.
