Mr. Travolta for all his odditys and quirks is quite the accomplished pilot.

But someone should bug him about his personal 747 and its carbon footprint :haha:

Oh I see he owns a 707 now.. why thats much better.

Almost forgot to add that if they (scientologist) think there going to make some converts out of the Haitian population they have another thing comming.

I agree, but perhaps their objective is just to improve their image. Lord knows they need to.

Atleast we agree on something. ;) The worst of them is (atleast that I've seen) Oprah. I think it was back when Katrina hit and they aired the POS show here, she said, I kid you not, atleast 5-6 times during the show how she donated that and that many millions. WE GET IT! YOU ARE RICH!!

That reminds me of Sean Penns ridiculous efforts after Katrina:

And it has to be some celebrity handing them out because...? It's just a media show, free publicity for a pretty low price for these people and the film and other companies they represent and who's products they promote.

Eh - I don't mind celebrities pitching in to help with disaster relief as long as what they do actually helps someone. If it becomes clear that they're only doing it for publicity, or getting in the way and causing more trouble than any help they bring is worth, that's another thing.

And to be fair about them getting all the publicity, it's not like the media doesn't play a big part in that by choosing to showcase their efforts just because they are celebrities. Of course they are going to get press when they show up in such circumstances, because of who they are. Doesn't always mean they are not genuinely trying to help out, which they have the same right to do as anybody else.

That still makes me laugh so much! It makes Team America's send up of him look a lot more realistic!:D

Sure, some celebrities might be doing it for PR, but others are not.

It's not easy to see which though, because no matter what their intentions are the media will be all over them.

If their help actually helps, then good on em.
