Wow, if you want' to make friends, wear a Cavalla hat and/or shirt.:salute: Last month, I was wearing my Cavalla hat, and I ran into a guy at work that served on the Cavalla SSK version!:yeah:

...and today I was earing my Cavalla restoration shirt and I got a tap on the shoulder. "Yeah I saw your shirt, and I was wondering if you were interested in helping restore a WW2 Pt-boat and an LSI (the infantry landing craft that carried a company)

Touchtown Ol' fat Mcbee!:yeah::rock:

Oh, and I told him I was interested!:haha:

More info to come.:|\\

Nice man! All I got is a Subsim shirt and hat, waiting for someone to come up to me and say, "Hey, I'm a member! I'm so-and-so!" Till then :doh:

Now that is cool! :up:
I'm sure even if I started wearing Subsim Merchandise people wouldn't believe I'm a member, let alone a moderator. I'm hoping this year's meet is somewhere nearby, always wanted to go to one.

+1

I can't afford to go to the places they have been held so far.. now San Diego is a good Naval town... if they had one there it would be a 30 min drive downtown :D

You know HighBury, I believe that we haven't decided on the location of a 2010 meet. There was some discussion of several places, but as noone is there to "host" it, it makes it hard for us all to be organized.

If nothing has been decided, and if you know San Diego well enough, make up a tentative schedule and send a mail over to Neal. Include things such as where members would stay (what hotel, preferably close to our order of operations, where we will be sight seeing, visiting museums etc), what we would be doing on what day, where we would eat, and evening activities.

I'm planning on attending again this year (Year 3!) and might bring my ole' dad along this time again if the sights are worth seeing :)

Wear my Torsk hat on the weekends. T-shirt as well if I'm on the Torsk. I have a SS coffee mug at work. :up:

I bought the hat when we were there, it wasn't part of the thank you package.
