View Full Version : SH5 demo
does anyone know if there will be a free trial version on SH5? I'd like to see how it runs on my system before I by it.

A demo should be coming sometime in the next few weeks, although you'll be limited to a Type VII boat, and won't be able to play past 1943.
Probably.
I remember having tried SH4 with a demo I downloaded before buying it (the game did run ok and I later upgraded the graphic card to a one generation bigger one just for the fun of turning every graphic option up).
It was a nice surprise because as I remember, there was no demo for SH3 but there was one for SH4.

I loathe those limited demos where you only get to play part of the game. :nope:
Oh, wait. :hmmm:

I don't recall SH3 or 4 ever having a playable Demo.
Why would Ubi do one know ?
Oh, SH3 had a demo, didnt it?
To the best of my knowledge none of the SH games have had a demo...I have never seen it. I dont think theres budget for it or maybe it not easy to limit a game like this?

Ive seen complex games have demo but for example they are limited to say 30min gameplay.I dont know how complex it is but it will be nice to have a try before buying the game.
Ah, dont forget that in order to play the demo you'll have to open an UBI account and stay connected all the time :yep:
Joking, but who knows ..... :hmmm:

ROFL !
So true...
To me, SH5's marketing plan is a big hoax actually. End of the stock game in '43, plus this bloody DRM thingie...
I indeed expect a new announcement later that would say "ha ha ha ! Did you believe that ? OF COURSE the game will cover the whole war ! And... What ? NO ! Don't tell us you were REALLY thinking that we were going to make the DRM thing real ????".
Crossing fingers now.

I'll probably purchase the game regardless, but a demo would be nice to try before I buy.
If SH5 delivers the same nail-biting suspense as it's predecessors, I can accept the changes in this installment.
