This is the most stupid rumor i,ve heard so far. Why on earth would there be no rough seas when they where in sh-3 and 4? Where on earth is this rumor coming from anyway?

You haven't seen any of the British Battleships either, but I bet they are in as well.
Why would they take out a working sea state included in the previous games, and just have light/medium waves? Considering you get to travel the whole atlantic, med and more, whole year around.
Trying to take that out of the code would be more harder than you think. So I'm confident there are rough seas.
The things they didn't include (subs other than VII, campaign after 1943) must be related to the new interior/crew system. They couldn't get the other sub interiors completed, and they couldn't get the new crew/gadgets to work with the new technology, in the detail they wanted to simulate. (Either from time constraints or future plans..)
IMHO some goodies are kept for suprise :ping:

Who cares whether there are no rough seas in any of the screenshots? Yes it would quell the speculation, but can any of the complainers show a statement from anybody official that would lead to that conclusion in the first place?

Of course there'll be rough seas...you'll just never see them because of the "good weather" bug (as opposed to SH3's "bad weather" bug).:rotfl2::arrgh!:

:hmmm: But SH3 only modelled up to around Beaufort scale 7...hardly what could be called "rough"; more like medium. Hence why the fudge-around mods and tweaks designed to get rougher swells (ie SH3Cmdr's "Wave Height" setting). In other words, for there to be true rough seas in SH5, they actually need to soup up what they already had, otherwise we will end up with just "light/medium" waves again.
Maybe people need to ensure that they all have the same definition of "rough". If they think stock SH3 seas are "rough", then I doubt they'll be disappointed with SH5. However, if they think that seas are not rough until they hit Beaufort scale 9, then, well, that's yet to be seen.
I haven't seen any rough seas in any screen shots or video's, if someone knows of any please post a shot!:yep: You would think a picture of a u-boat crashing through the waves would be a great thing to show for sales!!:hmmm: Also with so much rumor going around why doesn't the devs or UBI simply post an answer, IMO would be good PR!:yep:

this one's the "roughest", I could find:

...at noon, the waves will look flatter than the image suggests they are.

But of course there was rough sea in SH4. Just the sub behavior was somewhat... weird:

Well , i remember a trailer of sh3 before the release with rough weather, diving in a storm. but nothing about in SHV
perhaps is based in sh4 ,and the stock behavior in this game was very poor, like Helium submarines and underwater rails.
i supose that some screenshots and a video of a storm can cause a severe damage in games sales :haha: it can explain the no news about the atlantic campaign , the most important in WWII, and marqueting centered about mediterranean

So rough seas arent important in a game that takes place entirely in the ocean? :hmmm:

They sure are important, yes!
Atlantic storms can rage on for days, making any sub-attack pointless.
It has some pro's for Uboats, though...planes won't show up, for example.
And for convoys a storm has it's charmes too, for obvious reasons...allthough ships tend to lose contact, and get spread out.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. :yep: Who needs rough seas? They're just a pain anyway. :nope: The sim would be much better without them. :yep: :yep:

OMG I haven't seen a screenshot of a torpedo yet.. there must be no torpedoes in SHV!!!????
/Cry /flail
Why not wait until you actually hear something is or is not in game rather then suppose by omission in screenshots?
