The most asked for inclusions in SH3/4/5
1/ Player controlled dive planes.

separate engine control?

Dunno where you got that from.

Player controlled dive planes would be near the bottom of my wish list right down there with rendered water effects.

Hydrophones and realistic plotting would be much higher as they would have a greater impact on the actual game play.

YMMV

As the Kaleun I better not have to touch any dive planes. I have a crew for that... I can trust Bernard to know his job...

The #1 asked for inclusion has always been Wolfpacks

A map that includes the curvature of the earth instead of the flat map, and real navigation by sun and star shots with a sextant.

On controlling the dive planes, not so much player control, but being able to tell the planemen the degrees of up or down angle on the planes especially when dodging wasser bombs.

Hydro phone contacts that are accurate would also be a boon, and while you're under the waves, if a DD or DE is going over the top of the boat, hearing the engines and propnoise if applicable would be nice in the boat.

Other than that, I like what I'm seeing so far!

dive plaines-no,but hydrophones and plotting-yes.
sh5 is comming with interactive crew, this is something ive always wantered:D

I cant say for sure what would be my number one, but the first thing that pops into mind is realistic ships behavior - i mean no 0-30 knots in 5 seconds.

The Type IXs.

Realistic visibility and variable detection ranges
Realistic damage and repair
Manual plotting
Realistic lethality of aircraft
Realistic night visibility for early war tactics
Non-Cheating AI
Quick and easy to use ID book
No way of knowing if player has been detected (no crew reactions)
Relistic sensors

I could go on...

That all pretty much summed it up.

Separate engine controls and wolfpacks i would have to add

in order of importance for me:
1 realistic sub behaviour
2 realistic other ships behaviour
3 realisting weapons
4 realisting navigation maps plus currents/tides (gebraltar crossing with only using the currents)
5 wolfpacks
6 eyecandy

Wolfpacks and full operational ia boats ( is absurd at this level donīt have what a lot of other simulators have, is a long list of games)

type IX, II, XXI boats:nope:

Full dynamic and random campaign all years (no a closed history with zero replayability):o

Real enviroment (weather, winds, currents):hmmm:

Good simulation of submarine systems ( the bilge level gauge of aces of the deep is a good example ):88)

Crew topside when leaving/entering harbour. Surely the way sh-5 is now there is not a whole lot of stuff i could think of since most seems to allready in-game.

These are the attributes of a simulation and is what I am looking for in the SH series.

Would you settle for mermaids.:DL

I can see an interesting mod on the horizon.

We have been asking for these for YEARS. Why a dev cant start here I will never know.:damn::dead:

Because, if you notice, this list is focused on items of game play and not glitzy graphic eye candy.

Computer games are becoming like Hollywood movies. 95% investment in eye candy 5% investment in content. :nope:
