I mean the mods folder created by jsgme.
I'm desperate for a little more disk space.:damn: And I have installed all mods I want and don't intend to uninstall any of them in near future, so I guess the contents in mods folder is not necessary, AFAIK they are only used for installation of new mods by jsgme, hence it should be safe to empty it.
I just made a small test, after removing a mod directory from the mods folder, I can still play the game, nothing seems wrong so far. However I still want to be sure.
Thanks in advance!

You can (including the hidden !BACKUP folder), as long as you accept that you will not be able to remove any of the mods in the future without reinstalling your game.

However, if disk space is a problem, then I'd be looking at other solutions first, because deleting the MODS folder will hardly get you out of trouble (maybe 1GB or so max).

Of course, if you back up the mod folder to another hard drive or a DVD, you can restore it and then run the JSGME program.
I have six installs of SH3 and SH4 at most times on my computer, and more when I am testing. A real nice feature would be to have all the mods in a single folder, and have the program select the mods you want from the central folder. (Sorry, JS, I told you I never give up.)
