Yup. Plan on using this for the next five years like the last one which has just recently fallen too far behind. I also prefer to order from this boutique store as they are very, very good, and support their systems without the need to send the crap in, or send some subcontractor out.

The consensus seems to be overkill on the RAM, but we'll see.

Not if you're launching the space shuttle, tracking all the nuclear vessels on the ocean, utilizing an air traffic controller program to follow each aircraft in the air and playing a Silent Hunter game....all at the same time.:D
There is not enough RAM not matter how much RAM you install. :D I have 8 on a 64bit Vista. It is truly nice not to have to worry about system performance with game or application. Just load, push all the buttons to 11 and go. :D Nice machine! Enjoy!

@ Buddahaid
With this economy you can count on better than 5yrs for your hardware to go too far out of date.
The hardware makers are slowing down to let peoples wallets catch up.

That would be great. I'm envisioning a graphics card upgrade in the future, but that it.

2 grand machine :o . . . . . .well can't say I don't envy you . . .congrats!
12 Gigabyte of DDR3 feels like an overkill but I myself have 8Gb of RAM(DDR2) I know GREEDY...stupid but it was done.

And what can i say with my machine (that im using only for browsing) with its 256mb of ram :D lol.
The only thing in my opinion that could get an upgrade could be the video. They tend to get old quickly if you havent made the good choice.
