A: We have been working 1 year on achievment system for steam release. There will be more than 100 of them.

This whole maskerade of "Dev Q&A" where your people at UBI make it a point to mainly pick the most mundane and quite possibly less important questions was bound to produce this reaction one day or another lol I guess the "will I be able to sit on the captain's bed" was the one mundane question too many :yep:

It may work on the UBI forum, I dunno, but the overall IQ of people at subsim is past too much for these marketing tricks to work here. Admit UBI does not allow you to really talk about your game, and that's it, we can understand, especially if it's not up to you! :know:

With the "Is it possible to sit in the officer’s mess or "sleep" in my commander bunk?", I take it many people here felt as if it was insulting their intelligence, so to speak as it was a bit too much to cope with lol. I felt a little bit this way myself :timeout:

Now for some of the other here, that shouldn't mean you could not complain whilst keeping a friendly "mocking" attitude towards devs, as I did for example on many previous posts about this, but not adopting an insulting tone. Though most of people here do so, thanksfully.

We're still almost blind as to what SHV's gonna be, so best not insulting devs who are trying to do their best and puts commitment into it, until proved otherwise. :ping:

But please, the next question answered would better not be: "Will I be able to jump or strafe while using 1st person view?"... :arrgh!:

As kapitan_zur_see (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/member.php?u=215321) pointed out, it is imperative that all mockery is aimed at UBI and NOT THE DEVS. At the end of the day they are not in charge of the direction of SH5 or the unevolved arsology that UBI considers to be marketing.

The DEVS are just doing their job and hopefully they will structure SH5 in such a way as to make it much more open to modding. Hell they have to really else its gonna bomb bigtime.

It's funny when considering the processes involved in a SH title. Usually it goes something like this:

Community: Where's our new Sim? Come on Dev, stop being slack!
Devs: Development has ceased on the SH genre.
Community: Ah go on!

Community: Where's the demo, info, screenshots, what included etc......
Devs: Here you go!
Community: Drool, the new SH is the leet! Nothing will ever be beteh!

The game will be released to the usual mixture of excitement and disappointment. The Devs will then work on some patches and the modders will work on some mods.

Then will come the GWX calls........I've seen this pattern somewhere before. I can't quite place it though. :)

I guess I am just sick of waiting for all the MAJOR things we have been asking for since the start. I am so frikkin' perplexed why these issues are still "being looked at".

1. Compressed air.
2. Accurate damage model to sub.
3. Sensors that perform to real life specs.
4. A realistic view distance and visibility (variable with weather).
5. Realistic lookouts who are neither perfect or blind.
6. Ect...you know the rest.

Been asking for it forever. Why someone cant sit down and start with these I just cant figure out. Well....I can... graphics sell. $$$
