Chucky, you don't necessarily need it as the free mission is simply a stripped down version of the more comprehensive one we - as ZW members - get.It does not incorporate a lot of the improvements to the game that the other has but it might be interesting to try it just for the Hell of it. I haven't downloaded either version yet but I already asked about the differences between the 2.

Thanks for that answer Frinik.I will leave it alone just in case.:salute:

ZW, just to make sure we are doing the downlaad correctly. We are supposed to save the file to the C:/programs/lighthouse interactive/T34vsTiger folder and extract here there correct?

Ohhh! I was sure this would help you man! Look try to adjust your sound card
settings in the "Windows Settings" - Control Panel - Sounds and Audio- Devices - Audio - Sound playback - Advanced - performance -
Hardware acceleration:And set the slider to None.

Try this Capt. Shark Bait,

I have sucessfully managed to finish this mission without crashes, the secert { for me anyway } is to leave the three T34/85's and two half tracks that pass in front of you from the left to the right. They may come back later but anytime I have shot these tanks, the mission crashes, anytime I leave them alone, the mission runs fine. Hope this helps you.

Yes this is helpful in compiling more accurate data to zero in on this issue.

I just tried Puff's suggestion and it worked. Unbelievable! Finally got to the top of the far hill!!!!! Thank-you Puff! Now if I can just keep those truck drivin mainiacs from going off on their own I could win it:yeah:

Hey 602Sqn_Puff and KdF, are you guys using any other mods while using my
stuff?
Because if you are that would explain why the three T34/85's and two half tracks are even an issue. You see Unit 333 and 332 are programed to take out thoses guys for you. Then after you destroy the enemy units in the valley
they will move forward to their next attack position.

So, my suggestion is (if you have any other mods) is to UN-Install TvT completely. Then Re-Install TvT then use my Auto-Installer versions only.

I hope this helps,
ZeeWolf

OK Herr Oberst, lemme get this right. Uninstalled and re-installed. Back to ground Zero. You want me to add both the Christmas Present AND the Mission 6 MOD, Or just the Mission 6 mod? I await your orders Mein Herr.

Yes, Back to ground Zero! Then add both the Christmas Present AND the Mission 6 MOD auto-Installer versions, NOT the JSGME version. :salute:

On a totally clean install, I ran the Christmas present, then ran the mission 6. This is the error I get now.

Critical Error: [Script Manager] Duplicate Class "CTenMeterScaleMode" definition

Ok lets try some thing here. First did you have to manually delete any files
or directories after you did the UN-Install? There is an issue here with TvT
leaving files and directories afterwards that need to be manually deleted.
Second, did you use the auto-Installer versions? This will eliminate allot of hassles and confusion caused by the JSGME versions.
Third, make sure when you installed the new Mission 6 mod there are no duplicate directories installed in the root TVT directories
What I mean is check to see if there may have been this scenario:

C:\Lighthouse Interactive\T34 vs Tiger\Lighthouse Interactive\T34 vs Tiger

Stick with me man we will get this fixed,

No Herr Oberst, I did not have to delete any leftover files, as after the un-install I had lost the TVT folder entirely. So another clean install ensued. Now I'm just making sure I play a mission before installing mods 1 and 2. I never used JSGME, so I never have had that kinda problem.
Remember, I'm running XP SP2, and yes Sir, I know where the files go.
If this does not work, I will un-install and run a registry cleaner, then try again.

Ok KdF, Please understand that a duplicate class error means there are two file that contain the same data. But also understand that all of the class duplication errors are not flagged all at the same time. So what that means
there could be 100s. That is why you need to check the directory structure
to make absolutely sure there is no duplicate install in the root directories.

Don't give up

no, it's supposedly reworked to fix the lock-up Issue, with a few extra codes thrown in. AFAIK.

Now for the report, still locked up. Maybe I am playing it wrong. No help from my two compainons. They just sat around the base. I took out everything. Went up the hill by the 2 AT guns and froze. Will try Puffs suggestion next go round, and maybe they will pass by, as the 1st time they loitered and I just HAD to take 'em out. I aims to please yanno...............

Hi KdF would you try to adjust your sound card
settings in the "Windows Settings" go to - Control Panel - Sounds and Audio- Devices - Audio - Sound playback - Advanced - performance -

Hardware acceleration: set the slider to None.

Because this sim dose not directly access hardware but uses Direct X9
as a go between so to speak this could be a source of the lockup. It will have no noticeable affect in sound quality in the game so just give it a try.

Hang in there KdF,
ZeeWolf

Done, well it was already there. DRAT!
Went to DXDIAG, put acceleration bar all the way to the left from the middle, same.
DOUBLE DRAT!

I dunno...both these computers have onboard sound. Nothing like the old AWE16's or 32's. Maybe this game just hates these onboards.:damn:

Oh well............

Would you consider a complete driver update, along with a Jave, DX9 Win XP Sp3 update.

I have an on board sound and run Win XP Sp3. My Video card is a 8600 GT
as well. So that means there is hope KdF.

ZW, I downloaded the free 6th mission and played it twice last night. I did not experience KDF's unfortunate lock-ups. Actually contrary to what I was doing previously I worked my way up the main road to see if the game would crash. No it did not.My Tiger wingmen were much more active than previosuly and actually killed some T34s instead of being passively shred to pieces by them as in the original mission.I was surprised and a bit disorganised as a result because in the past I was used to virtually destroying everything by myself. One little bitching(:D), the cursed trucks! They moved forward by themselves instead of waiting to be escorted and drove smack into a well concealed T34.During my first attempt one got killed before I had a chance to deal; with the hidden T34.Second mission, I got an unsuccessful mission message despite killing 8 tanks, 3 guns and 4 trucks/APcs while the other 2 Tigers bagged 4 tanks! Because once again those damned trucks with a mind of their own got stupidly killed by driving ahead without escort.I think the code needs to be corrected so they either wait for the Tigers to escort them before they move off or they remain at the queue of the convoy.

Just a little bitching ZW but overall solid improvement. The game has been Zw'ed.I can't wait to download and play the ZW members mission...:sunny:

KDf as to your problems I suspect the game is not to blame but perhaps your driver or your install?

Do you have DirectX9 c installed or Direct 10 ?Mine came with Direct 10 but I installed Direct X 9 c as it was recommended to play games like Panzer Elite, TvsT34 and others?

You have to get off that hill as fast as you can. Attack the valley on the
left side of units 333, 332. Move slow until you can kill the last T34s andKV85s in the valley. Then move down the lowest point of the valley at high speed come up low on the last gun and then move in position to use
auto-gunner mode on the tanks that block the road. Work with the other Tigers to take those closest tanks out as fast as possible.

To be continued....
