Examiner disclosing extraterrestrial presence (http://www.examiner.com/x-2912-Seattle-Exopolitics-Examiner~y2010m1d3-Barack-Obama-not-disclosing-extraterrestrial-presence-is-top-ETUFO-story-of-2009)
All ten happenings plus the investigations seem very strange, but especially #2 and #8
Barack Obama not disclosing an extraterrestrial presence during 2009 is the top extraterrestrial-related story of 2009. Obama ended 2009 with non-disclosure after numerous reports of ‘imminent disclosure (http://www.examiner.com/x-2383-Honolulu-Exopolitics-Examiner~y2009m10d21-Official-disclosure-of-extraterrestrial-life-is-imminent)’ of an extraterrestrial presence including prediction of a specific disclosure date, November 27, 2009. Independent sources (http://www.examiner.com/x-2383-Honolulu-Exopolitics-Examiner~y2009m12d28-US-military-is-liaising-with-extraterrestrial-life-according-to-independent-sources) have reportedly confirmed the U.S. military leaking its meetings in 2009 with Reptilian, Grey, and a silicon-based civilization named the “Conformers” in an effort to move Obama, the military’s commander-in-chief, to disclosure.
Along with Barack Obama’s refusal to disclose the reality of extraterrestrial civilizations whose presence his military is publicly leaking, we ranked the top 10 extraterrestrial-related stories of 2009. You can access the results below.
The Top 10 ET/UFO stories of 2009
#1 - Barack Obama not disclosing extraterrestrial presence is top ET/UFO story of 2009

I needed a laff - so I read that article. It gave me one.
Ok - it gave me a number of them.
The strongest proof of intelligent life not from this planet - is that they have avoided making direct and irrefutable contact with us.

Maybe real, maybe not. Who knows.
If they don't want to knock on my door and talk to me, screw 'em.
Not real, it amazes me that all the photographs are blurred or proven to be fraud, not one piece of hard evidence has ever been found and with all the so called sightings/abductions etc there would have to be some tiny bit but no!!, it's as real as Big Foot, Lochness monster etc!:yep: IMO!

I don't know whether UFOs are real.....but I do know that sentient beings which are unseen by the naked eyes are real....:D The oddest thing when it tried to tell you direction of a person by flying across the room and making its energy wave felt in broad daylight in room full of people....I was WTF what was that??! or when one decided to take a walk at night by crossing the wall right through from the neighbor house....I sit tight as long as they don't bother me. We can coexist with the fish. If they were dead people they should be at rest...poor people. If they were demon I would be glad to give my middle finger up

There are spirits good and bad, that's another reason I do believe in God!!:yep:
I believe in God too Recce. I've seen things too twice in my life but they both were a long time ago now. I'm aware there's good and bad too for spirit :).
While this is not either of them maybe it's interesting to be shared,
When I was a kid about 14 years old I remember that as soon as I woke up and opened my eyes I could feel this...being clearly in the middle of the room which was unseen with both my eyes but I knew it was from God and it was without sin(I remember laughing a bit in the inside because the being was sinless). My grandma had the habit of praying in the early hour of morning when it was still very much dark so she was then kneeling and praying not far from me and I wanted so much to tell her to turn around so she could 'see' what I 'saw' at least be aware of what I perceived....I opened my mouth.....I had free control of my body but I couldn't utter a word....I just couldn't utter a word more like I couldn't dare to utter a word and I was stunned until the being stopped being perceived like it just vanished and only then I could speak . . .:hmmm: and only then my grandma finished her prayer.

To think that there is no intelligent life in the entire universe let alone just our galaxy is a bit shallow and arrogant.
The problem is that whole time / distance thing.

Greetings,

There's a lot we don't know, and some that some know that others do not. Some UFO sightings could well be tomorrows B-2, I dread to think how many UFO sightings that girl sparked while under testing, or perhaps they are ships, for all we know they could have found a way around the space/time issue, wormholes possibly, or space folding, the theories are endless but the fact is, to us, unknown.
However, to answer the original question:
Yes, UFOs are definately real because anything that is flying and cannot be readily ID'd is a UFO until proven otherwise. Be it ID'd as a weather balloon or a Skunk Works creation, but as for alien craft? Who knows? The general public certainly don't, despite what some may claim. :03:
But, as SteamWake said, to simply assume that there is no other intelligence life in the universe simply because they have not contacted the general public in a manner in which their existence cannot be refruted is a rather ignorant and arrogant approach in my opinion. As there are millions of planets there are millions of possibilities.
In other news: The Mars Rover Spirit celebrated its sixth year on Mars a couple of days ago, not bad for a machine which had an estimated lifespan of ninety Martian days (Approximately ninety-two earth days). Unfortunately she's currently gotten herself stuck in some soft sand and with the onset of the Martian winter approaching in her location, her days may be numbered unless she can free herself.
Her sister Opportunity is still carrying on the mission.
Amazing to think that the distance is something like 170 million KM. I wish I could stand on that landscape and see Earth in the sky. Probably not in my lifetime though.

I believe. I always have.
I would like to propose that one reason so many individuals seem reluctant to accept the idea that there are other intelligent lifeforms in the galaxy is that they are afraid. Seriously. It is typical behavior to react with strong and belligerent disagreement when confronted with issues of the Unknown. It also very typical to attempt to diffuse the seriousness of it with humor.
Personally, I am completely terrified by the idea of lifeforms that are more advanced than us Humans. Stop for a moment, and really try to take in the implications of the existence of lifeforms that are more intelligent than Us. Suddenly, man and all his marvels are reduced to nothing more than primitive and stupid animals. This is an uncomfortable thought being that, since the beginning of recorded history, we have always been top dog.
I certainly hope, for the sake of all Humanity, that these Aliens are better behaved than us Humans. Because if they are not...
And the thought of the US Gov. being the sole representative of Earth to these Aliens, its enough to make me sick. If the US Gov. is doing business with these fellows behind our backs then we are not being properly represented. Furthermore, taking into account the high intelligence of such beings and the immature and power hungry nature of the US Gov, it is very possible that us Humans are being manipulated.
As absurd as it may seem to some of you, I encourage you to take a few moments to ask yourself, "What if?"

This is an uncomfortable thought being that, since the beginning of recorded history, we have always been top dog. That's one heck of a big statement. I don't think the cavemen hiding in terror from lightning bolts and sabre tooth tigers would agree. Not to mention that there are plenty of civilizations (or, to be frank, every single one) that at some time was technologically inferior to at least one other group of people.
As absurd as it may seem to some of you, I encourage you to take a few moments to ask yourself, "What if?"Of course. The narrow-minded sceptics angle. I could just as easily take your "always was a believer" statement and ask you to step back and take a few moments to wonder, what if it's not (where's the tongue smiley when I need it)?
Sorry, but the reason I don't believe in UFO's is the same reason you don't believe in the infinite number of things you don't believe in - I don't see any evidence.

Ask yourself a few questions and pursue them logically....
#1 - Why would an alien race of superior intellect and technology eons ahead of where we are - need to have contact with humanity?
#2 - Why would an alien race of superior intellect and technology WANT to have contact with humanity?
#3 - If an alien race of superior intellect did - for reasons unknown to us, want to have such contact, why would it pursue that contact with primarily military/governmental structures, when our own history shows that such structures are over time inherently untrustworthy and manipulative?
#4 - Why has such contact at high levels of "leadership" only been done with certain world leaders, but not with others?
#5 - How can it be explained that no irrefutable proof of such contact exists (and supposedly has for over half a century) when the governments in question not only have been in constant flux (due to elections and such) as well as having a proven record of not being able to keep ANYTHING else so totally locked down?
I could continue - but you get the idea.
Aliens visited me once and asked if they could chill on earth for a little while. I told them rather pointedly to shove off or we'd kick their butts. They went off muttering some foolishness about climate control weapons and heating up the planet, like that could ever happen!

A real alien would've conducted a thorough probe of all terrestrial organisms it encountered.
So I think the really important question is, does your butt hurt?

Hello,
how very fortunate for us :88) :
There were some aliens looking for slaves to work in their mines. They landed on Terra, and looked for what would be the most advanced life form, and beamed two upright walking specimens (male and female) aboard their spaceship for closer examination.
Test results showed those two were much too dumb to even work in the mines, and the aliens flew on to find others.
Next day the headlines in the New York imes read like
"Police stunned. How the hell did those two Gorillas get out of the zoo without opening the doors ?"
