Hi guys,

Brand new to these forums and having trouble with the search function, so apologies if this is already answered somewhere.

I'm trying to play M1 Tank Platoon 2, which I recently re-discovered in storage.

It loads on my old PC (full of kids games now) but the graphics are all screwed up (pink skies, pixelated graphics etc.

Is there an emulator out there that I could use to replicate a 486 machine? Or is there a better solution to get this game running?

I'm fairly computer illiterate, so dumb down any feedback for me please. :)
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi and welcome aboard. There is DosBOX (http://www.subsim.com/tips/tipdos.php), which "emulates CPU:286/386 realmode/ protected mode, Directory FileSystem/ XMS/ EMS, Tandy/ Hercules/ CGA/ EGA/ VGA/VESA graphics, a Sound Blaster / Gravis Ultra Sound card for excellent sound compatibility with older games."

But tell you what I opted for to run all my old games; I picked up a used Windows95 Pentium 120 machine for $30 and coupled it with a plain jane 17" flat screen. I can play all the 1995-1999 era games with ease, and boot into DOS for the pre-Windows games. Even made a few boot disks for some game...ah, the memories...:D

Thanks for your reply Neal. I've been hunting for an old PC, but no luck so far. Those things are getting pretty long in the tooth and tough to find.

I'll take a look at your link and see if I can figure out what to do.

Much appreciated.
