Will Silent Hunter 3 run correctly on my computer, I have the following:

An Acer Laptop
Windows 7 64 bit
AMD Atholon 64 bit
3 GIGs RAM
160 GIGs HD
ATI Radeon HD3200 1 GIG

I just tried installing Silent Hunter 2 and I get the screen blanker with the janus.err file cannot be found problem. I just want to know if SH3 will work on my computer before I go spend money on it, I just wish there was a demo I could download before I pay for it, if anyone knows how to help me out for SH2 please visit the following link:

Should do, you have a similar spec to my laptop but with a much better gfx card. You may have issues with win7 though (same issues with vista too).

My spec is Core2duo 2*2GHz / 3Gb Ram / 250Gb HDD / Intel4500MHD gfx card (dx10) / Vista... with this spec the game runs at 60fps (vsync enabled) in open ocean, in port or near a large convoy it drops to 30-40fps.

In short youve got more than enough to run sh3,youll be fine:up:

Flackmonkey is correct. However with vista and windows7, 4 gb of memory works better, but 3 will run the game fine. You will probably have some slowdown with a lot of action and computing.
Download AlacrityPC or GameBooster.
Do not use vertical sinc and turn particles down a bit in the options.
Finally, some mods are frame killers; be careful.
SH3 costs $10.00 now and is starforce free and patched to 1.4b.

Do not install the game in either the program or program(86) folders; make a folder "Games" and install it there. See the thread on installing on Vista.
